Came here on the last day of summer, so I actually got to sit outside.I had the primo taco ? (the one with pastrami)It was fantastic, as was Alyssa (sp?) who took my order. She was so wonderful-I really enjoyed chatting with her and swapping recipes.A real Portland experience all the way around!And the price was right for one person for breakfast ?
I grew up in New Mexico and have been coming to this restaurant for the past 5.5 years. Their chile is spot on, so are the sopapillas, and tortillas! Whenever I am homesick - I come here.
We visited Pepper Box Cafe around 10 am. on a Sunday. There were maybe 3 tables available. However, right after, it got full. This is a good spot for small parties to go because it's such a tiny space, a few tables, and it has tables of 4 or less. You order your food at the counter, and then you take your number, and go to your table. I give my opinion based on my personal experience and the service I get at home (las vegas).
