Phaya Thai has become our all-time favorite restaurant! They have figured out how to deliver high quality and delicious meals every time, and so quickly! The flavors are complex and they have so many options. Their proteins are always tender and flavorful from their beef to their catfish and even tofu. I have celiac and Phaya Thai is sort of a holy grail - a safe restaurant I thought would only exist in my dreams. We'll keep making the trek from Vancouver week after week!

I have celiac disease and the food here is unbelievably good. Even pre diagnosis this would be one of my favorite Thai spots. We got food to go and brought some back to Seattle. How do you guys get those noodles for your pad see ew?! Are they homemade? Delicious

Okay okay...hear me out...get the ube colada and thank me later! We were just walking around, after getting food nearby and saw the menu. My friend and I both love Ube and love pretty cocktails and this was perfect!
We weren't really hungry, but we also nabbed a container of the coffee jelly from the cold case and had a perfect lil sweet treat between the 3 of us.
All 3 agreed the ube colada was delicious and sneaky because you can't really taste the alcohol, but you can feel it later. Perfect summertime cocktail!
Not to mention the guy working the counter/making the drinks was really kind.
I'd definitely like to go back for actual food sometime and get this drink again

Excellent dedicated gluten free Thai food. Layered flavors, fast, awesome outdoor patio. We travel from the west side multiple times a week to eat here or get takeout. We love everything we’ve tried but the Phaya chicken is a true standout.

Oh my goodness, first time here and I already can’t wait to go back. Ordered the Pad See Ew w/ Chicken, Fried Rice w/ Tofu, Phaya Chicken and Mango sticky rice. Let me tell you each item was somehow better than the last. Recently diagnosed celiac so getting to have good authentic tasting Thai food for the first time in a year felt like a dream. And, this place gets the seal of approval from non GF eaters too :)

It’s good idea that to try different things! Plus you can order it to go really fast so it’s good for daily too! Yes they are all taste good!
Nice cozy spot with customizable bowl options. Visited in the early afternoon of a Wednesday, so the place was mostly vacant. Loved the fried rice along with the custom bowl (eggplant & palo). Highly recommend checking this place out.

I will start by saying the vibe of this place is very nice and the employees are kind. It gives me family owned vibes but like they tried to give it a little more of an elevated touch.
When we walked in we were immediately greeted with a smile and asked if we’d ever been there. When we said no, the man explained that we could order a ready-to-eat bowl or a la carte bowl. Basically if you want any noodle option it’s going to be a La carte. My boyfriend chose the ready-to-eat option which is basically panda express style. He got two meats. I got drunken noodles because it’s my favorite at any Thai place.
We sat down and I was given a number to wait for my a la carte selection while my boyfriend had his food already, but he chose to wait for my food to arrive. I tried some of his and the flavor was really good although the meat a bit dry.
I ended up having to wait **30 minutes** for my food to be prepared. And I was already kinda hangry when we got there. Not to mention there was not a single person sitting in the dining area when we arrived, so they were not busy either. Maybe they had to warm up the grill? I’m not sure, but either way my boyfriend still waited with me which was nice.
On the bright side, the drunken noodles were delicious and perfectly spicy (my bf said they were too spicy but he can’t handle spice at all). And the final verdict is that the fresh ala carte is 10X better than the cafeteria style food they have, although that’s to be expected. But like I said, the cafeteria style food still has really good flavor, and is perfect if you’re in a rush. Personally that’s the single reason I would come back here. ✨convenience✨
The portion sizes could be like 15% bigger for the price. Just compared to other Thai places I go to. I usually have leftovers for the same price we paid here.
Overall good flavor, and kind staff!

I love this place. I have a number of favorites around Southeast Portland I go to and this was my first time. It's a little less traditional but absolutely delicious. I can't believe there's not a line out the door. You got to try it 🥳❤️🔥🎉

Not sure why its rated so highly. You have to bus your own table, and they don't even give you water.

Celiac safe food that tastes delicious! The staff was also friendly. Had a great experience
I enjoyed rice with 3 side entrees (phaya chicken, bamboo shoots chicken, and chicken massaman). Overall, delicious freshly made Thai food (without gluten) is served at this restaurant.
