You order at the counter where the food is displayed kind of buffet style. Nice to see what it looks like. The containers are pretty shallow so they probably turn over the food pretty quick. Atmosphere 10/10, service as wel, food about an 8.

Phaya Thai is a great option for fresh, healthy food in the Hawthorne area! The space is large and has a great outdoor eating area as well as a bar seating area where you can order cocktails. You order cafeteria-style and can choose up to three different entrees along with white or brown rice. Because this is an "express" setup with a hot food bar, sometimes the food isn't the crispiest or hottest if you come at an off time, but I love how many options there are. They also don't back off on the spice, everything is seasoned heavily, which is great besides occasionally being too salty. My favorites are the catfish, the Phaya chicken, and the eggplant basil dish.

Delicious food! We had the See Ew and the Drunken Noodles (D Noodles are spicy 🌶️ FYI). Service is very friendly and fast, dining atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Recommend :)

Phaya Thai Express has quickly become one of my absolute favorite go-to spots! Despite being a newer restaurant, it’s already earned my trust, especially when it comes to gluten-free options. As someone with dietary restrictions, it’s such a relief to have a place where I know the food is safe and delicious. Phaya Thai reminds me of Panda Express but with a local, personal touch, and they’re incredibly allergen-friendly. The staff are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met—they’re always so kind and welcoming when I stop by.
I’m absolutely in love with the Phaya Chicken! I hadn’t had chicken like that in years due to my gluten-free diet, and now I crave it at least once a week. The location is convenient, and the restaurant is always spotless. I can’t recommend Phaya Thai Express enough!

I just found my new quick and easy go to spot! Sometimes I’m hungry and I just want to be able to point at something and then immediately eat it. What better than being able to do this with a bunch of Thai choices?! I always want to order multiple flavors and this place lets you have a little bit of multiple things. I love it! Super tasty food and the staff was great!
