The best chicken gyro period. It's hard to choose a food cart for gyros here cause there's so many to choose from but I'm so glad we found Philly King

It's an amazing 5/5 stars, order the Phillie cheese stake. If you can finish it, the more Power too you. Yes the proportions are large, but there on point. If your ordering from Safaa, your taste buds will love you.

The Philly King is more like a Lebanese King cart. Sure, he makes Philly sandwiches and burgers, but it's mostly shwarmas and other ethnic foods. Actually, most of the food carts in that area are Middle Eastern food carts. I am NOT complaining. I LOVE Lebanese food! I remember a time when Portland didn't have many Lebanese food carts. You had to go to an actual restaurant to grab a gyro. NOW...they are all over the place. So yeah...my kids wanted a burger and that's what they got. I made my order and I noticed the guy grab a frozen pre-made patty from the fridge. I wasn't expecting a gourmet burger for $5.00 but...it would of been nice if the burger was at least freshly ground instead of a frozen patty.. Oh well. It's still not a bad deal. The buns were toasted on the grill and the burger was topped with lettuce, onion, tomato and mayo sauce. Fries included. If only my kids like gyros more than burgers, I think that would of been a better choice... especially at this place. I handed the guy a card and he apologized and told me he only takes cash. UGhhhhhh......now I had to run across the street to an ATM machine and get charged an extra 3.75 for just taking cash out. Some carts take cards and some don't. This was my lucky day. *Sarcasm Finally got the cash, got the burgers and feed the kids. They said the burger and fries were A-OK. No complaints, so it's all good.
