I used to go here once a week. Haven’t been back for two years, so I thought I’d go back and have a bowl of the combination beef Pho. The broth was pale and weak, very little flavor. Almost no tendon-two tiny pieces the size of a dime, and very few pieces of sliced beef. The slice of usually tender fatty brisket nearly choked me due to being a lengthy strand of very tough, stringy meat-no joke-half of it was all the way down but the rest in my mouth while I gagged and retched, pulling it back out of my stomach from my mouth. It is nothing like the rich, delicious broth; full of tender beef; flavorful onions, perfect noodles—like it used to be for many, many years. It used to be the best in Portland, not anymore.

Don’t believe the half rate reviews — This is one of Oregon’s best places to get pho. Quick, tons of fresh toppings. Take a chance and try some of their other soups and dishes… You won’t be disappointed. Also, if you order a dish with bread, you’re likely to get a loaf *just baked* at Lanvin, directly next-door!

Phở Oregon Restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere with genuinely friendly employees, making for a good vibe right off the bat. On a visit where my desired dish wasn't available on the menu, the staff recommended an alternative. While their suggestion didn't quite hit the mark for me, it was a decent attempt at accommodating my preference. Despite this minor letdown, my overall experience was okay. It's a pleasant enough spot if you're in the mood for Vietnamese cuisine and a warm environment.A clean up/make over could much improve this location.

Service is pretty good for a pho restaurant. The pho is more often a hit than a miss, those the pho broth can be off some days. I'm from Houston which has a large Vietnamese community so I can be quite critical of pho but I'd say this place is the best pho out here in Portland. Surprisingly, their Bun Rieu is good but I'd pass on their Bun Bo Hue (it was quite sweet for some reason). They have other things on the menu that are good like the hand roll spring rolls which you do it yourself.

One of my go-to pho spots. I was feeling under the weather today with yet another cold and my first thought was pho. This place is food focused for sure. No amazing ambiance or anything, but it gets 5 stars because I don't care about the atmosphere. I care about delicious pho from people that care about the food and quality ingredients ?I got a large #12, ate till I was satisfied and my to go container is FULL... And I spilt some broth ?. 2 full meals for $17? Heck yes!
