My experience was fine, so first the hostess told us to wait about 15 minutes until we will be seated to a table but instead it was about an hour. Second they somehow did not put in the order for our food when we ordered, so we had to wait pretty long to get our food. Oh and they were completely out of bread, and their bread is not complimentary. The ambiance wasn't cozy and just overly full and loud. The caprese salad was pretty bland, Gino's favorite (the linguine in the picture) was the best out of all the dishes.

Best Italian food in Portland. That's it. That's the review. Ok, Yelp is making me type more. Now I've satisfied the character limit. That said, my original statement stands. Best Italian food in Portland.

The food at the Italian restaurant tasted bland and overly oily, which was disappointing. My friends ordered a different dish each and However, the service was top-notch.

Great food and service! However, would recommend avoiding the table next to the espresso machine; too noisy!

I’ve been going to this place since I first moved to PDX back in 2008. It’s always amazing every time we go. It’s a great price, service is great and the food never disappoints! 10/10 recommend!

Great atmosphere with amazing food, along with staff that makes you feel at home. Been my go to for Italian since 2007 and they have never missed.

The very best Italian food in Portland, and I'm from Jersey.

We got pretty terrible service. We stopped by and waited by the front door and no one walked to us. Employees actually looked us in the eye then brushed past us to get to the patio tables outside. Eventually I had to ask someone for some service. They also lied and told us they were out of certain things, then proceeded to bring those things later to a table next to ours. It’s really unfortunate because the food is actually pretty good. There also is a woman working behind the deli counter that just glares at you as you eat

Very cozy Italian spot. This restaurant is most recognizable for their ceiling decorated full of soccer jerseys. We came for a reservation but aside from our table, the whole restaurant was packed. Our server was great, he took care of us well. It seemed like he was the only server running the restaurant, which was impressive. We got the Bruschetta al Pomodoro for an appetizer. It was light and refreshing, a good way to start out the meal. For my main, I order the Spaghetti Mare e Monti. The pesto sauce was good, it had a great garlicky flavor. The shrimps were plump and juicy. Most of the table ordered the special, which was a chicken mozzarella dish served with pasta. The general consensus for it was that it was okay. We also got a few basket of breads but the breads were cold. Lastly, we finished our meal with some tiramisu cake and gelato, both of which were delightful. Overall, it was a pleasant meal. Definitely recommend if you love Italian food!

It was a wonderful dining experience. We came in a bit before closing and were served in a very Italian way. There was no rush, no haste, the staff was talkative and friendly. The food was delicious and authentic. This is a small family owned restaurant making you feel like you could be in some small town in Italy. This is definitely going to be a regular spot for me.

Love this place! The atmosphere and menu remind me of travels we've had. We went, spur of the moment, without a reservation and they graciously accommodated us. The service is just right and staff are very friendly and appreciative! We go back as much as we can. A great date night location! Don't change a thing!

My friend and I went here on our trip to Oregon a couple years ago and I still cannot stop thinking about their food. I ordered the special ravioli (so amazing I licked my plate clean). We also got the bruschetta for an app. My only regret was not trying the tiramisu. The server was very kind and the atmosphere is very chill and easy going. I will definitely be back here on my next trip!

If you want some rustic Italian, this is your place. It feels like an old world Italian place with a touch of modern sports bar for some reason. The staff were friendly. To be honest, there was a mixup with our reservation, but they took a minute to adapt and accommodate our group. This was much appreciated! The bread basket is mixed and I will say some are not as good as others, at least in my opinion. It was also cold, which I had hoped it would be warm. All was made well for the olive oil is wonderful! The caprese appetizer was good. Bruschetta was just okay. All the appetizers washed down well with some carafes of the Chianti we ordered, yum! Highly recommended! All our pastas looked amazing, I got the lasagna and it is gorgeous. It tastes even better. It would definitely be a dish I would get again.

I've been going to Piazza for 10+ years, and I'm finally leaving a review. The food always hits the mark. Make sure you don't sleep on the specials! The service is great, too. Come by often enough, and you'll start to feel like family.
