Rude. Overpriced. Photo attached to show size of what they served us as a $12 slice...
I said hello when. Walked in. I was ignored.
It was my daughter's bday so we went in for cake slices.
It was close to closing time and there was one 3XL cake slice left.
My Birthday girl wanted it.
The price was $12 for the cake slicee.
The size was ok but seemed overpriced when compared to Gerry Franks Condeteri.
Then this is where I was very surprised.
The boy took the cake slice which was clearly the last slice and put it on the counter, took off the plastic dividers and cut a section of the slice off!!!!!!!
He had returned the section he cut off the birth day girls slice to a nearly hidden section of the display case instead of where it came from.
When I addressed it. He had the to audacity to tell me that it was a separate slice!
So all I can surmise is that he wanted to save a section for himself to eat once they closed.
The quality of the cake is good.
But I likely won't be returning due to this experience.
Cupcakes were absolutely amazing! We loved every bite. We also really appreciated the customer service, especially because it's hard to find bakeries that understand food allergies.
Five stars all around. I was going to Portland with family to celebrate a 35th birthday. We needed a birthday desert delivered to our hotel. Luckily I called A Piece of Cake and spoke to Marylin who took awesome care of me. I was thinking cake, but Marylin suggested cup cakes and I loved that idea. That way we didn’t have to worry about getting a knife to cut or storage, and cupcakes allow for us to get a variety of flavors so everyone could have their favorite. Marylin made sure they were delivered with care and I was informed every step of the way. The cupcakes were beautifully decorated and tasted even better than they looked. I can’t sing Marylin’s and her company’s praises any louder. Definitely worth every penny!
The owner was so amazing! I needed cupcakes for a work event the following day. She was able to get the cupcakes in time, and they were so good! Everyone loved the cupcakes, and I was so impressed with their commitment to their customers. I would 100% recommend!
We ordered some late night cake from uber eats - so first off it gets extra points for being one of the rare dessert places open late. Most of the cakes themselves were good but a little on the dryer side. However if I would’ve only ordered the cake that was cheesecake + brownie it would have gotten a 5 - that one was INCREDIBLE. All in all, good option for late night delivery and go for the cheesecake cake.
Are you sure you can handle it? You’ll get addicted and want more. :)
Spendy, but oh so yummy.
High-quality cakes & muffins, with lots of vegan & gluten free options. Whole cakes to order and ready to go. Large choice of by the slice cakes. Eclectic and understated exterior and interior ambiance. On a busy avenue, but easy parking on the adjacent side streets. Nice seating area inside. Not a coffee shop, but they do serve a single choice of drip brew if you’re not picky.
Last minute order for a birthday cake. Marilyn went way out of her way to make it with short notice. Delicious chocolate cake with gorgeous decorations.
Delicious, with impressive vegan and gf selection. But the prices are truly absurd. Also, they only serve bottled water, which you're not going to want to buy on top of a $6.95 cupcake. What is that, about $1.50 a bite?
The Fantasy cake is to die for!

I placed my order with Marylin, the owner, for a simple custom cake. 6 inches, two tiered, simple icing. Was quoted $150 but she assured that it would be the best cake I ever had. It did look beautiful, and exactly as I expected. Unfortunately, the cake itself was the worst I’ve ever had. Over baked and nearly tasteless for a carrot cake. I took the remaining portion back to provide evidence of the disaster. The staff was apologetic but told me I had to wait for a call from Marilyn. When she called offered me a single tier cake as a replacement. I requested a 50%, feeling that was more than generous but she would only offer me $50.
Do yourself a favor go anywhere else for a cake. Everyone at my party agreed that a Costco cake would’ve been a better option.

We got a few “loafs” of their carrot cake for my birthday this last weekend. They were good for sugar free, I’ll definitely eat here again. The only two feedback comments would be they were rather dry and the young lady on the phone wasn’t sure what was happening. Other than that, terrific, thank you.

My husband picked up my birthday cake here yesterday- it was $80 for a 2 layer 6” carrot cake with a super dry bottom layer, and did not even have cereal cheese frosting.
I’m horrified that he spent this much for a not very good cake. The second layer was more moist, but overall this cake was not good and ridiculously expensive. There is no way they should be charging $80 for a 6” cake unless the taste and presentation warrant it, which definitely- this cake did not. Frankly, they should be embarrassed by the quality of this cake for that cost.

Worth the drive and the price $6 per cupcake of decadent scrumptiousness. Always a pleasure to visit.
