Biscuits here are legit fluffy with that buttery pull-apart texture. I went for the Reggie Deluxe and it was rich, salty, a little messy — exactly what you want. Line moves fast, crowd’s chill, and the whole place smells unreal. Definitely a commit-to-the-biscuit kind of stop.

Breakfast comfort food taken seriously. The “Reggie Deluxe” biscuit sandwich was a monster — fried chicken, gravy, bacon, cheese — and every bite hit hard. Lines get long, space is tight, but the vibe stays upbeat and the food always lands hot. Perfect cure for a lazy morning.

True Southern cuisine meets Portland funkiness. Really tasty stuff. Counter order. Creative menu. Gotta try the blueberry corn meal pancakes!

The food here used to be a lot better. The last couple times I’ve come here, half of it was cold, with smaller and smaller portions than expected for the price ($3 for a teeny cup of “extra” gravy; $12 for a bland, fried tomato that was barely cooked, with weird room-temp pimento sauce that broken, so it was VERY greasy and ultimately inedible). The chicken was soggy and bland and didn’t have the Nashville hot sauce I paid extra for, but I didn’t feel like complaining again, so I just ate what I had. Service from the staff here is always great and it’s right around the corner from where I live, but after this last experience, I think I’m done with this place.

The biscuits at Pine State are huge—super buttery and fluffy. I usually get the Reggie Deluxe or the Money Ball. Their sausage gravy is superb, and the sunny-side-up eggs are cooked perfectly. Definitely a must-try spot for breakfast!

Your Friday cook deserves a raise! Absolute wizard 🪄 behind the counter- no one can keep up with his speed.
The last 3 orders I paid for extra sides and never received them, staff are very standoffish.
Update: staff improved, food hasn't even remotely. Chicken fried steak was mostly tendon and other connective tissue

Definitely worth hype and the wait. We got the chicken fried steak with slaw and definitely had to try the corn dog with the stoneground mustard with honey 😋🤩🤌

Ruined my birthday brunch in at home. Ordered breakfast for delivery and it had a long delivery time. It was fine because it was what I wanted. What was not fine is they only sent my order and not my spouse’s. I had to split my breakfast. We will not be giving them our money going forward because what do you mean you forgot a whole dish. Such a shame because it is a local staple. Not anymore for us.

I would describe the place as a breakfast bar, they do not have table service. The biscuit was near perfection. The gravy was good, but needed to be warmer. It was cold before I finished. Their dark coffee roast coffee was very good; however, it too needed to be warmer. And I am very picky about my eggs, and their over-easy eggs would put most over-hard eggs to shame. And no egg should be brown around the edges. Overall, I would recommend the place for a quick breakfast, but since I prefer table or counter service I doubt I will return.
