I really like the bathroom
Man on man. Usually when you get volume you can be overwhelmed by the amount carbs that can be given to you. Note I was hungry after a 2 hour nap from my flight. I didn't get sleep before. Could it have played the way I was hungry? Maybe. With that being said. Let's start.
This spot was not the original place I wanted to eat because I was looking for something else, it's not normal that I crave biscuits in the morning but since this is different from my normal morning time breakfast fiend, ill make the exception.
Hurry up and start talking the food! Alright alright:
The reggie deluxe: Fried chicken, bacon, and Tillamook cheddar topped with mushroom gravy and an egg. There was another choice but i went with the recommendation.
Absolute flames. First of all it's a hearty sandwich this could be shared for two. I knocked out this monster right out the gate. Every time I kept taking a bite im like, wow i can keep going. They make their biscuits from scratch everyday so super super kudo points for that.
Blueberry Cornmeal Pancakes:
Big triple stack made from scratch with local blueberries and served with butter, lemon, and real maple syrup.
They serve you per pancake up on request, it my usual head two sounds good enough. These were nice size pancakes as well. The attention to detail with local ingredients just hits home. I can't tell you enough about this place.
parking: pain in the butt as usual but I was lucky to find a spot early.

I wanted to love it. I really did. I have heard such good things and I always felt like I was missing out, after living in Portland my whole life, I decided to try it on a Saturday morning. The service was great, the person who took my order was kind and warm. They have water cups for self service and there was plenty of seating. The table for two was rather small but that’s okay. I received my sandwich and it initially looked great!
The downside was that the “fried chicken” was not really breaded fried chicken, just tasted like a salty fried piece of chicken. It was also very very dry. The sausage gravy was also pretty salty and the bacon wasn’t crispy, I know it had gravy on it but I’d expect somewhat of a crisp if the gravy was just put on. The biscuit itself was pretty good, fluffy and had good flavor. But overall was pretty disappointing for $17.50 for that and a bottled coke. I won’t be going again, there’s just so many more places in Portland to get breakfast that are more satisfying.
As for parking: there is a small paid lot across the street but street parking is 15 min so you have to park in the lot or a street or two down.

The breakfast sandwich was not extraordinary. The biscuit was dry (Popeyes biscuit level dry). The Marion berry jam saved the whole sandwich. I expected more from the blueberry pancake as well.
As far as service, we ordered Mimosas and they forgot to give them to us. It wasn’t busy, it was a week day around 11am.
You bus your own table, which is understandable but they don’t make it easy to see where the plates and trash go.

Be prepared for wait on the weekend, but it's worth it. One of the places that does tripping grits that are amazing. And their biscuits are phenomenal. And my son says the brisket club was to die for.

Yum yum YUM! Biscuits and gravy are one of my favorite foods and Pine State Biscuits goes above and beyond. The biscuits are fluffy and the gravy is rich. I've never had mushroom gravy and it's a total game changer.
Come in and enjoy the hearty food, friendly atmosphere, and bottomless local coffee. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, with heating lamps above the outdoor dining.
They're located right by a major railroad crossing so finding parking can be tricky if you're not from the area as the sidestreet seems to get blocked by the train for long periods of time fairly regularly. This does make it a great place to people-watch though.

Biscuits & gravy was OK. I think I tasted something sweet in it?
1 point knocked off because of location. Nearby RR crossing made us wait an extra hour to leave.
I would come back.

I got the special with fried chicken and pimento cheese. Out of this world— live the biscuits and love pimento cheese. I would even go without the chicken to just slather this biscuit with pimento cheese.

This place is a delight.
There is a heated space under cover/outdoor for extra seating and is dog friendly. The biscuit sandwiches are delicious. I had the bacon, sausage, and egg and it was fantastic. Hash browns and fries are great too. Definitely coming back.

I had been to this place about 10 years ago and came back hoping to have a great breakfast.
Unfortunatly, my guest and I were very dissapointed.
I ordered the Reggie deluxe, Had it the other time I visited and it was excellent. This time, though the waitress said the plate was hot when she delivered it to the table, the whole thing was luke warm at best. When I started digging into it, the cheese may have been melted, but the gravy under it was not hot and the chicken was some of he toughest I have had. My Aunt's biscuits and gravy was the same way.
We took home 2 dozen biscuits and they were the only good thing about this experiance.

This morning I was driving with my dogs and wanted to stop off somewhere to grab some biscuits and gravy to eat on the run..Im a travel Nurse from Texas who recently got to the area a week ago..I called the phone number and was told by the lady on the other end “we dont take to go phone orders you will have to go online use Grubhub or one of the options..” I thought this was rude and impersonal, in all my years of being on the road Ive never been told to hang up and order online..I proceeded to stop on the side of the road in pouring rain to figure out which of the 8 options online was the fastest, it was one of the most confusing things I had ever seen because it doesnt bring you to the restaurant website or even an easy online order..I gave up told the girl on the phone I wont ever be a customer. Im from Texas a place that thrives on hospitality and convenience for others so this threw me for a loop. My advice to the restaurant I would change this policy Im sure im not the only one who finds this inconvenient impersonal and down right rude. I decided to pull into Biscuits cafe and walk in, I was greeted right away and the whole process took 6 minutes in and out with fresh cooked food, the food was amazing…and oh they take phone orders too. Happy Holidays but I wont be trying your restaurant..First impressions mean everything.
