Free 2 hour street parking. Small restaurant, order first with self seating and self serve water, utensils, and hot sauce. You also clean your spot when you're done. Can be on the heavier side and is super filling. There is a choice between sausage or mushroom gravy. I got the sausage gravy with my Reggie Deluxe sandwich. Overall good flavor and had a good chicken portion. I'd come again if I was craving something heavy for breakfast.

Damn does this place slap! PDX natives don't know how good they have it. At least for me, coming from Cincinnati where when we say '3-way' it means putting chili and shredded cheese on spaghetti, this place exceeded all my expectations even with my Portland friend's recommendation.I am slowly eating more plant based for the environment and try out the veggie option when there is one. I got the veggie Reggie and a lemon meringue pop tart thing. Full truth: I did not expect to like their mushroom gravy more than I like the sausage gravy I have gotten pretty good at making at home, but so help me god it was the best gravy I can remember having. The lemon meringue thing tasted like it came from a Michelin star restaurant. Damn, now I am disappointed going back to Cincy.This will be my first stop next time I come to PDX! The quality costs some coin but I will be wearing my per diem out every time I am back here.Vegetarian options: The mushroom gravy is from another dimension where flavor is sentient and writes poetry for your taste buds.

Came to Portland for a spring break trip, was delighted by the different types of food hubs. Pine State Biscuits was by far the fan favorite, however. We ended up coming back a few times during our short trip and trying different menu items! I got the Reggie both times + beignets, and my friends tried the biscuit with gravy (sausage and shiitake mushrooms separate times), BBQ, and the chatfield one. They were all delicious and very filling. The Reggie: superb. I didn't expect the fried chicken to be cooked so well honestly, and the biscuit itself was so moist even without the gravy. One place put the gravy inside the sandwich while the other had it separate. Either way I ended up mixing them together. Beignets: a good amount of fluffy with that moistness from the biscuit. The little syrup/honey added a nice flavor. Powdered sugar of course made it challenging to eat, but worth it. Hash browns: delicious, just a bit bland initially so had to add some salt. BBQ: sauce was not what I expected, I thought it was going to be an actual bbq sauce but it was a vinegar dip. Not sure if I would get it again because I wasn't a fan of the sauce. Biscuits and gravy: the shiitake mushroom gravy is amazing, the sausage one was also super flavorful but too dense/filling.

Had a great time dining for brunch. First time tasting the Cajun fries and they are a must. The chatfield is really good, only thing is for the cost wish the actual biscuit was a little bigger.Other than that anything visiting Portland this is a great stop.
