Food truck in one of the downtown pods. I had the lamb arabi and it was excellent. Great service from people who care about what they do. No wonder it’s popular.

Love lebanese food... But not impressed with this one. Ordered falafel sandwich and disappointed about the wrap. I watched him take out a pita wrap straight from a bag and wrap the sandwich up. I love bread. Fresh and warm bread... So it really made me sad and disappointed.

the chicken kabob pita was pretty good overall 1) the regular one was on the smaller side, not sure how their bigger versions are 2) they press their pitas- basically, made the pita itself bread a bit dry and not to my liking 3) chicken was delicious and the ingredients inside were good. 4) a small mistake was made that i don't want to share on yelp. 5) at night the stand can get a bit loud

I am a lover of falafel. There, I said it. It's one of life's nice little comforts for me and that's just how it is. So, as I was walking to my hotel I knew I needed some food and all of a sudden I thought: I want some falafel. Enter Pita Express. They quickly whipped up a falafel sandwich for me and I asked for everything on it. I did enjoy the sandwich, but I found it a bit weird that they were smushing the falafel for the sandwich. My hunger had me finishing this pretty quickly. The sandwich was pretty good. While not the greatest I've had, it still more than did the job and it's location in downtown Portland is always a nice thing. I'd be more than willing to hit them up the next time I'm in town.

I've never had a pita sandwich pressed like a panini before, but I think it's the best damn sandwich I've ever had! Especially in the cold, nothing hits the spot like this baby. We had the chicken shwarma and man that was damn tasty!!!! I loved how it had a spicy kick along with the typical garliciness. The man asked if we wanted the full length or the 6 inch. I regret not getting the full. Definitely I'm coming back here to get more of those when I come back to Portland.

Checked in on Yelp and got a free lemonade with my meal. It was pretty good! I'd go back again if I'm in the area. The food reminded me of the carts in NYC.

Ordered the Chicken Shawarma sandwich ($6) and Falafel Plate ($7). Both were just okay. I enjoyed the falafel, but the hummus was not very flavorful and the pita bed was very dry and hard. With so many other food carts around, I won't be coming back to this one. If you're craving Lebanese food, just head on over the Karam that's right around the corner.

I tried Pita Express when I was desperate for something filling and edible during a run to my next meeting. They really answered those two calls for me. Pita Express is pretty new - only a few months. Hence, they are working out some kinks. What was cool is that they asked a lot of customer-centric questions and made it a pleasant experience while I waited for my food. Very friendly guys. I also ordered the chicken shawarma - and found it very tasty - the chicken was good and the spices were flavorful and interesting. It was plenty big for me - I couldn't eat the whole thing. It was also easy to eat on the run. Looking forward to next time.
