I’ve worked in the neighborhood for 6 years and never had a chance to stop in so a couple weeks ago I went in to grab a quick slice before work. It was really dark so I said “oh sorry, are you open?” to which the dude behind the counter super sarcastically said “No, I’m just standing in here for nothing.” With a seriously dramatic eye-roll. Initially I kind of chuckled because I was so uncomfortable and didn’t know how to react but ended up deciding I felt too weird to stay so I said “Actually, I think I’m good.” But before I could finish he cut me off with “BYE”It was so off putting and unnecessarily awkward. I just wanted a slice of pizza and it’s clear that Pizza J*** is named after their employees. We’re all just doing the best we can right now and some are obviously doing better than others..

I thought the food tasted pretty good. The pizza was pretty good. I had a soda, it was pretty good. I also thought the atmosphere was pretty good, and the workers were pretty good.

Best pizza I've had in Portland but the employees are always jerks haha. Guess they warn you in the name of the place, but yeah they always seem genuinely annoyed by me just... politely placing an order.Personally the employees could flip me off every time I'm in and it wouldn't stop be from eating there. The pizza is just that damn good. Obviously ymmv based on how much you care about the customer "experience," of which there is only a mild feeling that you're a nuisance to the employees. More than worth it for some of the best pizza I've ever eaten period imo.

This place is not open for dine-in, but there are 2 tables right outside for seating. There are lots of kinds of full pizzas, but right now there are only 2 types of slices: Pepperoni and Cheese. Despite what it looks like, there are bathrooms open in the back, just ask an employee. The pizza itself was ok. I got a slice of cheese and it had a very thin crust with not much tomato sauce and therefore fairly dry cheese, which I didn't enjoy too much. It was a good option in a rush though.

Good service, good prices. Very greasy, very charred flavorless crust. Would be a great spot after a drunken night but pizza lover bf gives it a 4/10.

Some of the best thin-crust pizza in Portland. All of their pizza is great. We love their pepperoni and margherita pizzas.

I don’t ever write reviews… Breaks my heart that this place isn’t five stars this is the best pizza in Portland and if your friend say otherwise you don’t need those friends in your life anymore they choose to be bad people and eat bad pizza… Be a good person a good pizza …..pizza j***

Unfortunately this place has become very hit or miss. Someone here makes a very oily, saucy, salty pie. Inedible

Good pizza joint. They have thin 18" and 12" pan. The crust on the thin is a bit laborious to bite. Good variety of toppings. 4:30 also several hot sauces. Good selection of beer. Ultra welcoming staff. Writer Bill Oakley's favorite NYC Pizza. Has kind of a punk / new wave art yet they play country music on the radio. Traffic can be challenging.

Sign says slices, don't be fooled: they do not sell slices. The eponymous guy behind the counter was very hostile about it too. It was not a pleasant interaction.

I love the “It’s Always Sunny in Cully” pizza (but I substitute vegan sausage instead of pepperoni). Absolutely unique pizza I wouldn’t find anywhere else.

The best pizza I've ever had was from a place in the heart of Venice away from the tourist areas, the 2md best I've ever eaten after being all over the world is a Half white pizza, and half clam jam thin crust from here!

Ordering online is challenging and not user friendly . Tried to call and they won’t take orders over the phone. Went back to the online process and had 10 dollars in service charges .. not happening pizza j**** Figure it out
