the soft homemade tortillas make all the difference and the pastor is yom! a little spendy at $3.50 per taco but well worth it with for the size and quality.

Accidentally stumbled upon one of the best burritos I’ve had in the city. The pastor burrito is incredible and the salsa it comes with is so good.

I got the vegan soyrizo burrito. Staff was incredibly friendly, love the environment at this food truck stop, also fast & well priced. Despite that I just can’t say it was a fantastic burrito. Perhaps California has spoiled me, but I’ve had many better burritos. But it wasn’t bad! For a cute place to eat not bad! Updated from previous review on 2024-04-14

Called in an order that they didn't make and had no idea of until I spoke to someone working there (after already waiting for 5 minutes).

The Spinach Mushroom Epazote Burrito is fantastic. Other options like soyrizo are ok, but I’ve never had a mushroom burrito this good. Epazote is a delicious Mexican herb that I miss from my days living in the Sonoran desert…
Ordered tinga tostadas and a mushroom quesadilla. Very delicious and served with a dipping sauce of choice. Excellent and prompt service in a nice location for Portland. Will recommend to others!

delicious vegetarian burritos
Ordered a bean rice and cheese burrito. It was mostly rice but the rice was DELICIOUS! The burrito was hot af when it came out but somehow when I finally made it down to the cheese it wasn’t melted. That’s the only reason I’m not giving this burrito a 5 star.

I've eaten my fair share Mexican food over the years from cantinas in Ciudad de Mexico, to restuarants and food trucks in Tucson, and restuarants in Vancouver. Hands down, my wet burrito from Poblano Pepper is definitely in the top two best meals I've ever had in my life and hands down the best Mexican cuisine I have ever consumed. From the first bite to the last, the flavor blend was on point producing the magic that happens when your taste buds start to sing. The restuarant is clean and seems freshly renovated, and the service was pleasant, patient, and responsive.Honestly I'm writing this review since there were way too few people enjoying the magic that is coming out of this kitchen when we visited (Friday afternoon). The folks in the kitchen at Poblano's know how to cook and all I could think when I was leaving is that their Mamma's should be very proud. It was a wonderful way to mark our first evening in Portland.

This is my favorite taqueria in SE Portland. I go here instead of Por Que No now. PorQueNo is still awesome, but Poblano is cheaper, without the wait and right near Movie
