First visit. Food was great. The brisket in my breakfast burrito made my day. Reasonably priced. Loved the bluesy music in the background. Good time with family.

Just visited this BBQ restaurant as we are visiting Portland.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic.
The food was fantastic as well (The green chili mac & cheese and the potato salad were phenomenal!)
The brisket and the ribs were delicious.
Prices were reasonable for a BBQ restaurant.
The service was nice with a smile.
All in all great restaurant and I definitely recommend

Great Texas style BBQ. Get the ribs, a half rack or more, and the mac & cheese, you won't be sorry.

We shared the Pit Boss tray. The sausage was the best item on the plate (flavor-wise but I don't like natural skin sausage). The tiny slices of brisket were not really big enough to take on any of the sauces available. The ribs were well cooked and tasted good but were full of more connective tissue than I expected. At one point I mentioned that the ones we make at home are better. The pulled pork was very fatty and had a large portion of burnt end that was difficult to chew. The sauces were unpleasant: the vinegar sauce was very vinegary. The mustard sauce was very mustardy. The barbecue sauce tasted of catsup. The cornbread was good but crumbly. The hush puppies were the only thing I had no complaints about. The rum slushy I had was also good and strong. There is a mandatory 18%tip, which I don't care for, but our server was terrific, so we would have given at least that much I just want the choice to, rather than be forced to. We are outside, which we prefer but Killingsworth can be very noisy and full of exhaust fumes. Overall I was disappointed because I remember when Podnah's opened their Prescott location back in the day; it was the bomb. I wanted my birthday dinner to be better than it was.

I made a brisket the day before I bought the 1 lb of brisket f4om Podna's. I know that a brisket takes 10-16 hours to smoke correctly.
The unfortunate thing was that my wife is an amazing host. She didn't eat any because she attended tooth and nail to every person that was there. Kudos to her!
That's where I realized that she didn't have any of my brisket. She took me to Podnah's when we started dating and so I left real early Sunday morning (after a fun night with the wifey-pooh, as seen above) and had to get her some brisket. Their brisket is to die for. It's that good. Thank you for making my weekend complete and her real happy.

I ordered online for take out on Tuesday 6/3. My partner went in and picked up the order around 7pm. When he went to the bar to pick up the order (as the email receipt instructed), the waitress--who had to step away from waiting tables to assist my partner--asked for the name on the order before putting the order together. My partner specifically requested that she double check the order, and she said we were missing white bread. Got home and noticed we were also missing our sides (potato salad, BBQ beans, and collard greens). I guess we needed to check our order ourself? By the time we noticed the missing items, the restaurant was closed. So it seems we're out money and food. The food is pretty alright otherwise.
BBQ was excellent. No complaints on food or service. Auto gratuity is pretty annoying. I always tip well, but I do not agree with the idea of 18% required tip on a party of 2. I did not see the small fine detail at the bottom of menu, and was disappointed with the auto tip at the end of meal. Left a bad taste on my otherwise excellent meal. Normally, I tip 20% on good service. You lost 2% of my tip on the required tip.
As girl raised on southern cuisine and delved into the best BBQ joints in Nashville and Texas, this place was ok. I have nothing bad to say about anything it was all good but it is hard to go back to average BBQ when you’ve had the best in whole country.

I ordered Podnah’s for delivery and should have known not to. The last time I placed an order for delivery, an item was missing. Same thing happened this time.
I ordered the two meat plate with potato salad and green chili mac. The green chili mac, as expensive as it is, is missing from my order.
I also ordered the Texas Ted cup (chili) that came with cornbread.
The chili was hot but not flavorful at all. All I could taste was hot. The cornbread was okay, but it had no real Fahr except for cornmeal.
I’m so disappointed that I haven’t eaten the rest of the food. Podnah’s can’t seem to get it right and Uber gave me a lousy $2 for the missing item, citing it wasn’t a concern.
Stopped in here before school and the service as well as food was outstanding!
It seemed like they had recently updated their menu so I tried the brisket taco and the jalapeño Mac and cheese and the baked beans.
The brisket taco came with. Healthy serving of brisket and two tortillas.
The Mac and cheese had exceptional flavor and the beans had a nice tang to them.
Their new menu has already added gratuity into the price of the menu items just FYI.
I had an amazing experience here. I went into labor and my service staff acted as midwives and delivered my baby! The queso in hand, Will kept feeding me cheesy covered chips like a pregnant dionyses, while Autumn caught my exploding fetus from the womb. Truly an incredible moment at Podnahs. Give these people a RAISE. Afterwards we took baby Brisket [Brisk for short] home and will forever be in debt to the incredible staff at Podnahs.
Just not good. Dry brisket, lame sauces and 18% automatic gratuity without notice is not cool. Especially when the service is slow and nobody checks on you after dropping off your meal. Buster’s barbecue blows this place out of the water in comparison.
Food here is very good. Brisket was soft and smoky flavorful, same with chicken. Collared greens were just right. Cornbread very good. Baked beans tremendous. Very relaxed atmosphere.
