First off if you have been to Texas this is not Texas style bbq. Ordered the pit boss it had everything Ribs were all fat no smoke flavor, cornbread was basic mix wasn’t cooked all the way, Brisket was dog crap. Dryer then pile of sand. The link wasn’t even smoked tasted like it was microwaved. Pulled pork was basic no smoke flavor. And to top it off charged a 18% gratuity to eat this crap. Way better options out here. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like to pretend to eat good bbq. Mac and cheese was basically boxed shells with some melted cheese and bread crumbs. Bbq beans were blah

Not enough staff, waited 20 past the stated pickup time, food quality was mid to OK, deceptive gratitude process. Pay your employees appropriately and stop this deceptiveness!

Excellent BBQ, and one of the best prime ribs I've ever had (Saturday special). They deserve all the awards they've won.

Not sure if I just got a magical batch, but that was honestly the best brisket I’ve ever had. Damn.

We returned for dinner after a bit of a hiatus. Loved the beer choices and menu options. Dinner was good. But when the bill came, an automatic 17% gratuity was already added on the bill, and the server encouraged us to tip more. Come on, Podnahs! Do better! It is so tacky to add on an automatic gratuity! We won’t be back.

I had the opportunity to visit Podnah's while on a business trip to Portland. This was the BBQ restaurant that was recommended by my coworkers from the area - and it didn't disappoint! The service was great with friendly staff and the seating area was open and cozy.

I ordered the 2 meat plate with both meats being the brisket and with a side of green chili mac n cheese and cornbread. The brisket was well seasoned and tasted great... but the meat was unfortunately sliced with the grain which made it much tougher than it should have been. But I imagine without that, it would have been amazing. The cornbread was delicious with a good balance of sweet and savory. The mac n cheese was delicious, albeit a bit runny. My coworker also shared a pork rib and sausage - both of which were really good! Especially the rib, I loved the seasoning and tenderness. For dessert, the breading pudding was fantastic with fresh bananas and nilla wafers layered throughout.

Overall, I would absolutely visit again and would recommend others to try as well!

Two of us split the Pit Boss which gave us a try on several meats. The smoked link, ribs and brisket were fantastic! The pulled pork seemed dry though. Great sides, we did greens and the green chili in the mac-n-cheese was wonderful! Another person tried the chicken and it was quite moist for white meat. Don't get me started on how nummy the cornbread is! Next time I get back here I want to try the smoked trout!

My friend and I ordered a variety of things. All of which were incredible! Everything in the restaurant from the atmosphere, the hospitality and even the sauces on the table were as perfect as can be. You definitely can’t go wrong with whatever you order.

Also, it looks like all the negative reviews are either from faulty delivery services or from people with fussy eating preferences.

So, Im giving this place 2 stars just because the cashier and cook were really nice and answered all of my dietary questions. I ordered the brisket tacos. They had no flavor at All. I ordered the Texas red chili, it tasted like burnt taco seasoning over shredded beef. Really bad. I also had the day old pecan pie (I confirmed with the cook it was made the previous day). The filling was actually really good, but the pecans on top, sadly, were burnt. It was a Monday if that makes a difference.

As a born and raised Texan, I was very nervous about trying BBQ in Portland. Podnah's passed with flying colors! Everything was great from the meat to the sides to the sauce. This will probably be a go-to from now on.

Had brunch and it was AMAZING!!!! Quick service, delicious hot food. The biscuits were so crispy and fluffy and the gravy was the perfect amount of seasoning. 10/10 can't wait to come back!!!
