this food was delicious! Beautiful ambience. Great place to hang out and eat dinner. Food came out quick. The salsa and guacamole was flavorful. Everything about it was an absolutely great experience five stars.

Fabulous food ! friendly staff ! fun atmosphere !
I love Por Que No? Tacos! The tacos are great , my favorites are the Barbacoa and the Pollo Asado. And the Carnitas is so delicious too. I recently tried their Ceviche and it was amazing. The generous sized Margaritas are wonderful and they offer many variations including my favorite “The Jamaica” (Hibiscus flower ) Margarita. The atmosphere is so family friendly and the decor is very authentically Mexican…so colorful and cute! Great selection of salsas to raise the heat on your tacos too. PQN is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Portland!

More and more disappointed each time I go, so much so that I’m writing my first ever review. My friends and I have been going regularly for years and used to be huge fans of PQN, but there has been a drastic decline in quality and portions, corresponding with a drastic uptick in price. They used to have the best carnitas in town, but now every time it is super fatty with little to no flavor. Most recently, we went right at opening when you would assume food would be freshest, but the chips were stale and flavorless and our Bryan’s bowls were not warm. I don’t know what happened, but this is not the same PQN it used to be.
Margaritas had little to no alcohol. Bryan's bowl for $11.99 is only rice and beans and if that's not overpriced wait till you add 2 tablespoons of meat for another $4.50. Throw in a few chips some way mild salsa and 3 Oz of guacamole that had too much lime and your at $74 for two before tip. This was at the place on Mississippi. 20 years ago the place on Hawthorne was great. Nothing lasts
Fun place to share a meal or some drinks with friends and family. Very fun and colorful vibe within the restaurant.
Food was fresh and delicious. Drinks were also delicious. You pay at the counter at the entrance and then find a place to sit. Food is brought to you and then please bus your table.

Most excellent tacos. Staff are helpful and good looking. (Sorry PC police.)
The place has this family and friends atmosphere that made me feel welcome, as if I knew the workers. Even though I don't. May it never close.

Yummy California style Mexican food. I liked the vegan tacos and cucumbers with guacamole. There was a long line to order and there's no table service.

Exceptional Mexican experience always here. Not quite as authentic as a food truck but really great flavours and some evolution of the basic experience with flavours and additions
