Been wanting to try this place for a while now and what a bummer the food was. The person at the counter was kind, the #3 Hibiscus cider was awesome! We were a group of 3 and the food came out separately, the last item a simple salad came out 21 minutes after everyone else got their “food.” I ordered queso and chips, the queso was grainy and tasted like bland, grainy polenta. My friend got the street corn, which had zero flavor with a runny mayo/crema mixture, no cheese, no spices of any kind, everything bland. If you’re hungry this isn’t the place to go, but if you’re into kick ass yummy ciders, then you won’t be disappointed.

We needed a place to kill some time before a movie, and noticed La Familia on the next block. My friend is a HUGE cider fan, and was looking for a very, very dry cider. The bartender had a recommendation and offered her a sample, then did the same for me with one of their in-house ciders (not too sweet, not too dry... perfect!). The cider menu is very comprehensive and they offer plenty of non-cider options as well. We enjoyed a huge platter of nachos which were also excellent. We will definitely be returning again soon!

Had a flight of the 5 La Familia house-made ciders and nachos with carnitas. 100% delicious. They also have something like 20 guest ciders. Friendly service, great location. We'll be back!

I had a Fresa Nino cider (strawberry with a hint of vanilla) and an order of chips and queso. The cider was so delicious, I asked if I could get some to-go but they only do growlers fills and I didn't happen to have one on me, to my misfortune. The chips and queso were yummy as well, the chips being hearty and the queso being creamy (though a little more spice would have been nice for me personally). Overall, a great visit and I will be back.

My partner and I came around 3 pm and we enjoyed the atmosphere, cider, and the chips and queso we ordered. It wasn’t busy with only a few tables full at this time and the person who took our order completely forgot about us. After we had our drinks, I went up 20 minutes after the order of chips and queso was placed and they said so much was happening they didn’t remember and muttered sorry when they brought it out. I know it seems like a mistake but when you go somewhere and they completely forget about you when it’s during a slower time, it doesn’t feel good.

Delicious variety of ciders and cocktails built around the line of La Familia cider. Try the tamarind cider! Tasty food based on local sources (Dos Hermanos, Hot Mama Salsa, Three Sisters Nixtamal, Don Froylan). Had the carnitas torta and it was so good!
Vegetarian options: Plant-based chorizo available in their torta, quesadilla, and salad.
Kid-friendliness: Families are welcome until 10 pm. Cute kid table.
