Been wanting to try this place for a while now and what a bummer the food was. The person at the counter was kind, the #3 Hibiscus cider was awesome! We were a group of 3 and the food came out separately, the last item a simple salad came out 21 minutes after everyone else got their “food.” I ordered queso and chips, the queso was grainy and tasted like bland, grainy polenta. We needed a place to kill some time before a movie, and noticed La Familia on the next block. My friend is a HUGE cider fan, and was looking for a very, very dry cider. The bartender had a recommendation and offered her a sample, then did the same for me with one of their in-house ciders (not too sweet, not too dry... perfect!). The cider menu is very comprehensive and they offer plenty of non-cider options as well. We enjoyed a huge platter of nachos which were also excellent....
Had a flight of the 5 La Familia house-made ciders and nachos with carnitas. 100% delicious. They also have something like 20 guest ciders. Friendly service, great location. We'll be back!
