We were so so excited to stop here, however we left bummed with the quality of the fries and them not providing the extra sauce we paid for. Would love to try again & maybe next time the fries won’t be hard and burnt.

Favorite dish: palak paneer with a side of satay sauce ☺️❤️
Warning: the satay sauce is a little spicy 😁🥂

This place is basically the high watermark by which I judge any other poutine offering in Portland. The fries are perfect, none of that Sysco garbage.

My only critique is that their gravy is an obvious weak link - thin, watery, and not very flavorful. Even still, it's better poutine than you'll find almost anywhere in Portland!

Had fries with two sauces: pesto airlines ( what's not to like ) and satay. Satay was not my thing for fries, but was good. It's a cart, so 'dine in' meant sitting around a fire under a tin roof in the rain... so perfect for me!

That's not poutine. That atrocity is not poutine. Let me reiterate, that thing they serve you that they call poutine... is not poutine.

If someone is looking for a place for poutine and this is the only place you can think of, you tell them Portland doesn't do poutine.

If you're craving poutine, go grab a frozen bag of fries, a crappy jar of gravy, and some cheese curds in the overpriced cheese section, heat it up, eat it. Disappointed? That was still better than the poutine they offer here.

People r always lovely. The quality of food has declined significantly since COVID. And the price has doubled. I’ve been getting same exact item for almost 11 years. Used to be one of my favorite places, I was obsessed. Like a weekly customer lmao. Now it’s rlly hit and miss. Mostly miss or eh. Couldn’t even eat my last one it was just dry and kinda off. Idk that I’ll go back at this point, esp esp bc of the price now.

Again tho— cute place, staff is AMAZING throughout the whole 11 yrs.

Great place and lots of tasty sauces. I do wish the fries were a tad thicker, but to each his/her own.

Think: fries with some thin gravy and big cubes of daiya cheez at room temperature. It wasn’t event worth the fries. Just go somewhere else in the food cart park. Updated from previous review on 2024-09-29

Ohhh how I wish that Potato Champion would come to the Salem/Keizer area!! It's my absolute favorite food cart in Portland and I make a point to visit there every time I'm in town. Literally 5 stars every time.... quality, customer service. 🤌 Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Although this is a place that specializes in fries, which is why I drove across town to get here, somehow they were lukewarm and soggy. These limp, blighted potatoes tasted stale and were thrown into the nearest bin.
