Premium Matcha Cafe Maiko

As someone who isn’t classically a huge match fan I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place. We came in on a Thursday evening and luckily it was not super busy but I’m told it can fill in quickly and often has a line.

I wound up going for their seasonal cone flavor which was peach and was quite refreshing and tasty. They have a wide assortment of menu options and types of match dessert to choose from. They use a buzzer system and have seating in the back to accommodate maybe 6-8 groups.

The atmosphere is well lit and clean. Definitely appears to attract a bit of a younger crowd.

YOU GUYS!!! This is the best matcha I’ve ever had!! I got their seasonal strawberry matcha latte. It was so good. It tasted like authentic matcha, and the sweetness level was perfect. My friend and I brought our laptops and I was able to take a quick work call in there too. There’s wifi, charging outlets and a bathroom. Good times! Thank you Matcha Cafe Maiko, you’ve changed my life. I would go here again and again if I was local. Unfortunately, I was just driving through town today. But it’s okay! Now I have something to look forward to next time.

Matcha was delicious. We got a strawberry matcha and a mocha matcha. Both so good! The service was ok and the tables / general area were dirty. We took it to go because of this.

The girls working were very nice and the Matcha Frappe I had was delicious!! They have quite an extensive menu of different matcha drinks and ice cream treats. I will definitely be returning . The only bummer was that they were sold out of the SUPER cute “Matcha bears”. (I did go right before closing though and was told they only make about 10 a day so they often sell out)

Heard the hype about this place and it lived up to it! We ordered the strawberry foam matcha and chocolate cream matcha, both were delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. Can’t wait to go back to try the ube ice cream!!!!

Premium Matcha Cafe Maiko on SE Powell serves high-quality, authentic-tasting matcha that’s hard to beat. We tried the Mixed Shaved Ice with matcha and vanilla cream, but that day’s flavor of the month was Ube—absolutely delicious! We also had the soft serve mix in a crispy cone, which was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. A must-visit for matcha lovers!
