Never been before! Drove past it and turned around to check it out. The barista was so sweet taking my order and they both looked happy to be there and happy to answer my questions. The place is very bright and nice and the coffee was delicious! Well steamed milk, a tasty shot of espresso. Will be visiting again!

The ice cubes here taste like rust. Thus they make them with unfiltered water. Also there’s UC security outside w a knife trying to blend in. Kinda kills the vibe

Can't say enough about this gem of a coffee shop. I love an oat milk latte with the medicinal mushroom cocoa... a beautiful way to start the day. Love from the marble lady❤️

The barista here was so laughably condescending that I'm convinced this is some kind of kink place. If you want to be waved off dismissively (literally) for asking a simple question about milk, this is your place. Two stars only because the coffee and pastry was decent.

I would like to preface this review by saying I was a barista myself for about six years. I normally don’t leave negative reviews and I know customers can be annoying and food service is a challenging atmosphere. However, the questions I asked when ordering were met with rudeness and condescension. They were normal questions for a customer to ask and questions a barista should know the answer to.

On 10/21 at 10:30am I asked the barista what the pastries were in the case (there were no signs). They paused as if I was asking them a stupid question, and reluctantly answered. I asked what size their drinks were. Again, answered the same way. I then ordered a vanilla latte and asked how sweet their drinks are - do they tend to run on the sweet side like Starbucks? Or do they have a stronger espresso flavor? Again, a very normal question for a customer to ask and one I had no problem answering when I was a barista. The barista, in a very condescending tone, said “well, the more sweetener you put in a drink, the sweeter it will be.” I was a bit shocked by their rude response and condescending tone, but maintained a friendly and polite demeanor throughout the entire interaction.

The other barista finally stepped in to help. I think the initial barista I interacted with was new? Based on the way the other barista answered. They said to their coworker “this is how I would answer that question” and then looked at me and said “our drinks our more coffee-forward and we try not to mask the taste of the coffee.” I thanked them and said this was the answer I was looking for.

I was really looking forward to trying this coffee shop, because I live in the area and I have heard good things. I’m honestly not sure if I will be going back. While the food and coffee were great, the attitudes of their staff leave much to be desired.

Wife and i checked out the brick and mortar today (usually buy beans online). What a great place- i love everything about it. Great beans, GREAT customer service, great decor, drinks. Everything.

Like they ask you what size free coffee you want with your bag of beans? Who does that? Baristas so friendly and kind. This place knows what's up with coffee. It's a way of life.

Honestly, if someone says they don't like this place, they're not trustworthy and they don't know about coffee.

The matcha was really awful, probably the worst I've had in Portland. It seemed to be made from a pre-made syrup instead of matcha powder. Disappointing for the price.

Shroom latte was interesting to try. Could use more selection. Would love another kind of latte to choose. Cute atmosphere.
