We visited today for a late lunch, or an early dinner. Everything not the same as before. Sat us at filthy dirty table, but quickly moved us when my husband said something. The Kung Pao chicken was made with jalapeños instead of the red chilies & peanuts Instead of cashews (i am still scratching my head on this one as it's a tradition with the red peppers). My husband asked for orange chicken and served him sweet and sour. We asked for potstickers and served dumplings?? Waitress did repeat back; so I don't know what went wrong. I don't think will be going back. I was so excited when the restaurants open. Such a disappointment.

Ordered tonight on Ubereats. I got the salty egg soup with mustard greens, and my boyfriend got the shrimp wonton soup. Both of us thought the broth was absolutely awful, no flavor except freezer burn. The meat in my soup was rubbery and also tasted freezer burned, the mustard greens were mushy and bland. We ordered two of the pork soup dumplings, two of the chive and pork dumplings, and a spicy pigs ear. the pigs ear somehow managed to be spicy yet flavorless, and rubbery/chewy and mushy all at once, and was swimming in a tub of red-orange oil. The dumplings were good, the only thing we really liked, but we only got one order of each. Really disappointing, won't order here again.

Pretty dang impressive! I was in the neighborhood, and when I'm around 82nd I always make sure to try a new place that's been on my radar since I don't frequently make it out there. I was in the mood for dim sum, and Pure Spice did not disappoint. Their menu is fairly extensive, and I couldn't make up my mind so I waited to order until I got in. Even when I walked in, I was a bit overwhelmed by all of the options and ended up panicking and overordering a bit - never an issue when the result is more tasty Chinese food! I got: Wonton noodle soup - clear light broth, thin curly egg noodles, tasty wontons and a few pieces of tender bok choy for good measure. Green beans with eggplant - just a little spicy, with black bean sauce, the beans are just a little crunchy and the eggplant is silky-soft. I personally thought it could have used a little more black bean/heat but I'm not mad at it. Red oil wontons - so much Szechuan peppercorn! It's one of my favorite condiments/spices and I love it when they don't skimp on the flavor. Very happy with this one. Pork soup dumplings - not quite as juicy as others I've tried, but very flavorful, I thought they were quite tasty. Ha gow - plump and full of succulent shrimp, delicate flavor. Shu mai - also plump and full of succulent pork, flavorful and tender. The food came out quickly, and stayed hot for the drive home across town. Two dishes and four dim sum items ran me $45 - super reasonable when I was eating leftovers for days! I was happy with every single dish I ordered - not a dud in the bunch. I'm really looking forward to sampling even more of that extensive menu.

I ordered 7 different items on the menu and was disappointed at 5 already. The scallop dumpling and shrimp dumpling were big in size and good. I would come back for those! Pork shrimp dumpling didn't have enough shrimp and missing fish eggs on top. Tofu bean curd wrapped was over cooked, dry and burnt. Chinese donut noodle came out cold. Hand pulled shrimp noodle was very thin and fragile. The sauce that comes with it was lacking flavor. Last and worst was the ribs in black bean sauce, took one bite and left the whole dish back. Didn't even take it for Togo. There was still a stank smell that seemed like not cleaned appropriately. Staffs were great at making sure to keep socially distant though. They wore both masks and gloves to serve. Overall, the price of this place is pretty decent and reasonable. There's a need for food quality improvement though.

Really good. Not your typical noodles house. I didn't expect much from the average looking Asian restaurant but was surprised by the Rich flavors and freshly prepared dishes. Especially the Pot Stickers.

Best Chinese food I've had in recent memory. The pot stickers and soup dumplings were out of this world. The spicy pork practically melted in my mouth, and the fish fillet in sour spicy broth was perfectly flaky. Everything was as pleasing visually as was experienced by the palate. A very excellent establishment.

They didn't honor my request (small pieces in the General's Chicken), meaning i didn't get what i paid for. It also probably means they don't make the food themselves but pull it from a bag. They also added a convenience fee for no reason at all. The quality of the food was meh and the price was too high.

Another visit ~ overall legit 5 stars. What to expect on what not to expect: ~ a little shabby ~ terse service ~ hand sanitizer you have not smelled beforeWhat to expect: ~ a blob of hand pulled noodles. Delicious. ~ piping hot dumplings ~ if you're lucky, fresh bite size almond cookiesTables are a bit too close for comfort.Somehow the tofu not overcooked remains hot and juicy. Not sure if saran wrap Covid screen ever gets sanitized.Soup dumplings are a tad larger than Din Tai Fung and mouth singeing doughy good.

Restaurant food not as good as it use to and they are stingy. The pig ear is too salty, need to eat it with rice. Since when do you need to eat pig ear with rice? Porridge had very little pidan, half as much as they use to. We tried to ask one the employees there for pidan, but they blew us off. The rice dumpling was really unappetizing. The dumpling was basically two rice buns with a unappetizing middle. Because of this the leaf was very wet and gross. Came back after two years and regret it. We did a good job avoiding this restaurant for two years. Now will avoid it forever.Oh yeah, should I mention they had an ant problem for a while and still served food despite the ant problem. We ordered three dumplings over and over again and all of them had ants, we just gave up and stopped ordering any food from them because they had an ant problem. Yeah they're not going to tell you. So this restaurant doesn't have any quality food control at all or have a clean kitchen.

Are you craving Dim Sum? Does COVID-19 have you down? This little place located in a strip mall on Division has you covered.Authentic Dim Sum at a fair price in a world that can't currently handle cart service is a treasure. They are a little slow so give 30-45 mins for pick up. It is worth the wait.A half of a duck as an add on is a pretty good idea if you are into it. With the death of Wong's King around the corner, I think that Pure Spice is here to stay. I have tried most of the Dim Sum in Portland and Pure Spice holds their own even after a drive to get it home!
