Went kinda late on a Sunday so I can't say much about their food since everything was out of stock by then, but their golden milk latte was incredible, vibes are immaculate and welcoming, service was great too. will definitely be returning!

I liked my first visit enough to try a second time. Everything was good until the music changed. I don’t know what it was but it was so bad and loud that my wife and I had to leave and find another place to work. It wasn’t just music not to my taste, it was grating vocals, horns, fast tempo drums, all the antithesis of what should play in a coffee shop. I get staff might be bored but music in a coffee shop should be in the background and not dominating the space.

Great staff, perfect coffee and matcha drinks. A rotating selection of local artist with framed paintings and prints for sale keeps the space fresh and interesting even after many visits. Odd Fox & Fern(that's me) is the featured artist for Aug-Sept 2025!

My first bite of the breakfast sandwhich I felt a joy comparable to the birth of my firstborn child, hanselhoff yagabob, my beautiful baby boy, the light of my life. Purchased many days ago, I am still thinking about it, like a long lost lover. The eggs as fluffy as a cockapoo, the sausage as tender as the first kiss I shared with my wife. The bagel was of many things. I gobbled it down like a starving puppy. The service was similar to a family reunion: comforting, and pleasant in the end. The employees made me feel young again. They welcomed me with open arms into the family of rain or shine, they worked with vigor and youth and made me feel young again. They are all probably in college and made me feel young agiain too. Don't even get me startted lno the coffee. Drink the latte I felt like a bear with a gallon of honey that's drizzled down my gullet. My taste buds reached nirvana and ascended into the afterlife. I got vanilla flabvor. And whole milk, from a cow that must have been pampered like a princess, fed with a silver spoon, and slowly milked to perfection. Twelve ounces of what I can only describe as pure utopia. If i had all the money in the world, world hunger would be solved. Thank you rain or shine. Thiank you.

I say this with no irony, the best latte I’ve ever had. We visit PDX a few times a year and always stay within walking distance of Rain or Shine which makes morning latte runs all the more enjoyable. Big fan.
I kept coming back for the delicious breakfast sandwiches! The drink options were also delectable.

-workers were rude, condescending, and seemingly made fun of my mom whenever she came up to the counter when we visited to support my sister for an event.
-food was eh, coffee was ok but not spectacular like some places I've visited. I liked the lemonade and cardamom latte.
-wasn't told they don't heat up the baked goods (which sit in the case all day) because one of their staff members has an allergy apparently, which is a little confusing in that environment? (i go regularly to new cafes and they almost always heat up baked goods) but whatever.
absolutely not going here again because of how they treated my mom. she felt really terrible by the end and didn't understand why workers kept exchanging glances like they were gonna laugh at her. really disappointing because I used to like the place a lot.

my partner and i were recently making a left onto SE 60th Ave. to our surprise, we came across this lovely coffee shop. as it stands to reason, we were both in great need of a jolt of java. the cafe was empty, which made us think we had stumbled in after closing. as luck would have it, the east-facing register had a barista behind it ready to accept an order. thank you for the hot lottay.
