A lovely post-Powell’s bookstore dinner with the family. The karaage was spot-on and larger in portion than other establishments. Ramen was superb. Also appreciated that they had 12 once beer option.

Got seated right away, great service. Ramen was delicious, it had the perfect amount of spice. Also, cannot go wrong with salted edamame. Would come back here, recommend!

Absolutely delicious. For that 20 minutes I sat at the bar eating I felt like I was back in Japan having authentic Japanese ramen. Loved the greeting and goodbyes as you open the door, and the food was amazing. Will be back this week before going home.

Wow! We were seated immediately, after ordering we got our food so fast in like 5 minutes! I ordered the deluxe ramen with shio; it was very filling and the 3 slices of chasu pork were so soft, tender, and juicy! The noodles were a good thickness and had a good chew/bounce to it. Good amount of veggies (generous amount of green onion and bean sprouts). The soft boiled egg was perfect, so soft and the yolk was nice and gooey, marinated just right. I added the black garlic oil, would get it again as it has a nice toasted flavor to it. My husband got the deluxe with miso, large, also with the black garlic oil and he was satisfied with the taste/portion as well. They are so efficient here, turn around on the tables is amazing! I appreciate the immediate acknowledgement/shout out on entry/exit, really felt like a valued customer who was seen and heard. Would highly recommend this place! Great comfort food! The front looks small but there’s actually so many tables/lots of seating available. I guarantee you won’t regret giving this place a try, you’ll get a yummy, absolutely delicious and reasonably priced meal! =)

Such a treat! The ramen is authentic, flavorful and has so many different options/add-ons. Gluten free noodles as well and a VEGETARIAN broth. Friendly service. LOVED this place. Highly recommend.

I love this place. The springy, thick noodles are wonderful and handmade. The chashu is fatty and the eggs are sooo jammy.

I’m always looking for an excuse to come here, even on my birthday in 90 degree August heat. It’s my favorite restaurant in the city.

The people have been very quick in seating you, taking your order and delivering.
I enjoy coming late evenings, this ramen always hits the spot on cold wet weather. Food is very rich in flavor and the broth is one of the best I’ve tried.
The gyozas are also a must!

The best ramen spot in Portland. The gyoza is my favorite.

The food was good, but I received a very dry lemon wedge with my karaage. When I asked for an additional ONE wedge, I was charged $1 for it. Restaurants like this leave a bad taste in my mouth and make me hesitant to visit again.

Been here a few times, love the ramen. Not a fan of sitting with a 6-top and being passed over while other tables who sat after were visited first, however.

Best vegan ramen I’ve had in Portland so far. The service was friendly and attentive. They brought out the veggie ramen, which I ordered with fried tofu as a topping, and I could immediately smell that it was going to taste good. The broth was nutty, creamy, a little bold and spiced, and rife with miso. The noodles were cooked well — but not overcooked, with a good bite to them. The tofu really sealed the deal for me — very impressive flavor and worth the extra $1. Overall, the food was excellent — $15 and I left feeling like a king.

Vegetarian options: The vegetable ramen with the vegan broth is the only vegan option I was aware of.
