I just came here while in the area waiting on a friend. Ranger tavern is a perfect little dive bar with very warm atmosphere. Offering friendly service, a jukebox (touchtunes), and video poker. They have a couple pool tables too, $1 a game.

I love the bartenders here. They made me feel like friends immediately. Foods great, sports on TV always on, and like St. Johns, it has a small community feel.
Do not place a "to go" order off the website menu without understanding, those prices are obsolete. When I picked up my order, I was informed nonchalantly, that the website hasn't been attended to in years. So to my dismay, my order was 30% higher than anticipated. There was zero concern or apology from the bartender. I think my lack of experience with dining out is evident. But, I think if you're gonna advertise your business online, either update it, or take it down. I ordered Wings, Onion Rings, and a Burger. Honestly, all below average...

Older sports crowd -fish. Pool tables are always a familiarity in a neon lite, low light effect, kitchen looked clean same as menus, with beautiful waitrses who smile when appropriately qued as her spirit was just as bright as faithful servant to both customers and bosses.
