First -- the food was GREAT. Everything fresh as can be, and delicious! I had a brisket plate with Mac n cheese and coleslaw. It was expensive, but I got enough for two meals.

Don't expect atmosphere. This is a takeout place, but they do have a nice little back room done up with plants to make it a nice place to sit and eat.

I'll go here when I'm craving a good BBQ and have some extra money.

This tiny gem on a busy street corner in Portland is a must visit. The food was flavorful and juicy with that perfect twangy sweet, but not too sweet, bbq sauce. The staff worked their butts off during the dinner rush but always had a smile treating each costumer with care and respect like a beloved family member. Even if you have to wait, just wait. The food is more than worth it.

I ordered their $25 beef brisket combo, which included two sides of your choice - drink isn't included. Beef brisket was smothered in bbq sauce, it was extremely grisly and bland. Same with the red beans and rice, and the potato salad - it lacked a lot flavor. Great location, food smells wonderful walking by, but, I wasn't impressed.

I had really high hopes for this spot, and my chances of returning is very slim. Great location, the food smelled amazing when walking by but it didn't hit the spot for me or my partner.

Casual (seemingly takeout only) smoked meat and fried deliciousness. My wife and I got the 5-meat sampler, which was 4 meals for us (for the meat, at least) - a good value.

The ribs (baby back and short) and catfish were amazing, the pulled pork was great, and the brisket was good, though I prefer Podnah's for that item. The sides we got were okra (awesome, but a little too salty) sweet potato fries (also awesome) and cornbread (tasty, but a tad dry).

We'll definitely be back. I drove past this so many times in the mornings watching them smoke meat outside... I shouldn't have waited so long to actually get food!

I'm from the south and I constantly find myself raving real bbq. Reo's is one of the only places in all of Portland where you can get real, fresh, delicious southern bbq, without it being hella over-priced.

I ordered the chicken sliders and fries. I was pretty disappointed in the chicken. It has small pieces or dark chicken with too much bbq sauce. The pieces kept falling out of the slider. I liked the fries.

Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable side dishes such as red beans and rice and fried okra plus Southern vegetable dishes.
