there are plenty of reasonably priced pool tables, friendly and attentive staff, and a really big horse painting. the high ceilings make the space feel very luxurious, but the relaxed and bright decor keeps it feeling casual.

We had a terrible experience last night. When we came in the bar tender Sara was visibly not pleased with our presence. we were out celebrating my friends 21st and Sara would barely acknowledge our presence and gave us our drinks in a very poor manner. We asked her to put us down for pool and she told us our wait time was about 4 people and gave us a number told us she’d find us when she had one available, this was about 9:30pm. We noticed others had been going ahead of us for a while and this was like 11:30pm. We went up and asked her how many more people were ahead of us and she said 6, we told her she said there was 4 people before. And she rudely and very snappy said “that’s impossible because I’m the one who took your order!” It was such a vibe kill and definitely not a place to recommend to other first time drinkers. I understand having bad days but being a grown ass woman and specifically targeting and being extra catty to a group of girls who are just trying to have a good time for a 21st celebration and don’t even know her is absolutely disgusting.

We love going to the Jack London Revue. Cozy downstairs area that highlights great 🎵🎵🎶 including Reggae such as Clinton Fearon, Prezident Brown and others.

The food is wonderful fot bar food . Fast and friendly service , I met the coolest people waiting for my lunch at the bar . And it was reasonably priced .

If I could give zero stars I would. The man working the bar only cared to help the young drunk women.. completely ignoring my husband & I. Pretty lame experience for bringing in the new years 👎👎👎

This is a dive bar and it is wonderful. All of the bartenders are awesome and super friendly. I moved out of downtown and still go here at least once a week. Full size pool tables by the hour and the food is always great. This is my favorite bar.
Rude and arrogant security. Asked for ID to be admitted. (I was intending to see Mel Brown’s quartet in the Jack London Revue downstairs.) I showed my driver’s license ( I’m 79!) but he wanted to photograph it with his cell phone. I said no, you can see my ID but I’m not allowing it to be photographed. I asked why it was necessary to photograph my ID. He said don’t worry it’ll be deleted in 24 hours. I stated that I was not comfortable with my ID being in his phone and on the Internet. He rudely told me that it was management policy and I could not get in unless my ID was photographed. I left with my date, never to return. This was my first attempt to see Mel since Covid and a medical issue kept me away from the JLR for a number of years. I had been a customer at least three Thursdays a month for years prior to Covid. I’ll catch Mel at his other performances around town. Cocky, intimidating rent-a-cops are not worth my time and money at the Jack London Revue.

The wings themselves are worth 5 stars, lots of chicken on the them and the flavors are great. The bar wasn’t too busy for a Saturday night. Lots of pool tables and seating.

Pool Table/Billards game time should be 30-45 mins so that everyone gets a chance to play. Instead of watching people not playing during their allotted time and just talking and chattering away. Some people just want to play instead of drink.
