The bald waitress was extremely rude to our table of 5 when we were ordering, because we didn’t know what some items were on the menu. She was talking to us like she was higher than all of us the whole night. “Yeaaaa I said I would come right back with that.” *15 minutes later for a hot chocolate. Was rude when we were asking about the bill and walked away mid sentence while we were talking to her and she told us “you guys can Venmo eac other or something” because they can’t split the bill 3 ways. Also have never heard of a place charging gratuity fee for a party of 5. Wasn’t a problem but usually places will tell you or have a sign saying gratuity will be charged for parties with this many people. Also they charge a 21% for gratuity like random as hell.

Raspberry fool, and other delights. Smart place, it gets a little loud. People are happy.

Had a long week and wanted to celebrate a bit with a simple dessert and coffee. I put my name on the list and waited while the group and a couple in front of me were seated, no problem. Then a longer wait, and the hosts seated a couple who arrived after me. Waited longer again and then the hosts seated a second couple who were also on the list after me. Now no business wants a single person taking a table when they can get more money from two people at a table, but that's not up to them. If they have two seats available, then they have one for me. Further, if they have four seats available, then they have one for me. I waited over 40 minutes watching people who arrived after me being seated before me, by then felt so ignored and disheartened that I left.

Edit: my visit was on 10/17 and no, the list was plenty clear. Couldn't even find a host to ask before I left.

Jasmine and green tea are not black teas.

We were a little intimidated by the wait, but the dessert was worth it! The mocha fudge cake was delightfully decadent, although the ginger cake was the real star. The decorations and piano music lent a lot to the atmosphere, and we got speedy service. Unfortunately, it was simply too hot to be comfortable, especially while drinking hot beverages. It felt stuffy and sweltering even after I shed down to my t-shirt. My mom ended up stepping outside to wait for me because she felt like she was going to faint. I feel like this place caters to very young people who may not be as sensitive to heat. (The ridiculous part is it wasn’t even cold outside, right around 60 degrees.) If it had been a more reasonable temperature inside, it would have been a 5 star experience.

10/10 Fun whimsical spot for coffee and delicious treats. Had the brownie sunday and it was perfect. Expect a wait because it's worth it.

Have been coming here over the years and felt pretty disappointed this time. Brownie sundaes were mostly just two big scoops of ice cream with little hot fudge and a tiny brownie. One of our brownies was too hard to enjoy. :(

Delicious coffee drinks and desserts, great staff. Delightfully creepy old Victorian feel with a sophisticated undertone, given the AMAZINGLY gifted live musicians nightly (Maybe pianist, guitarist, etc.) Front deck to chill on or wait for people.. Free parking. Check out the awesome bathroom upstairs! Date night romance idea or larger group table with a couch. CASH ONLY.

Rimsky is always a delight. I always make sure to stop by whenever I visit Portland. Their raspberry fool & cinnamon hot chocolate are my favorite combo 💜

We were never sat after an hour and a half of waiting, the four of us never heard our group name called, then checked the wait list and the sheet our name was on was just gone. Staff weren't willing to help alleviate the situation either. Really disappointing first visit, probably won't be coming back.
