Since the restaurant was booked, we ended up at the tap room. Glad we did. Wine and dessert.

The Italian cuisine was superb, staff were attentive and prompt, checking in at the right intervals. Before dinner drinks were delivered and the suggested Chianti vintage arrived and complimented our meal perfectly. We finished the evening with dolche'; tiramisu, delizioso !! Perhaps the best dinner we've had this year including the week in Florence earlier this year !

Was on a walk and just dropped in for a drink! Cute and tiny, the ambiance is great. Just needs some music.

We travel to Portland a lot for medical visits. We stay on the south waterfront. Walking to II Terrazzo is always enjoyable the view of the harbor, the boats moored etc. is beautiful. Coming to this enjoyable destination to eat amazingly lovely food and wine was such a find for us!

Our waitress was inattentive plain and simple. I worked in service for more than 10 years. I understand when someone is busy, and try to give them the benefit of the doubt. But while being busy and obviously understaffed she spent time talking to other tables, just hanging out essentially. We weren't able to order our mains and drinks for 40 minutes. Thankfully a bartender came over and took our app order so we had something to eat while we waited. What bothered me the most was the fact that there was no apology for the wait. It was obvious we'd been left to wait and there was no acknowledgement. The food was good. The drinks were too strong and unbalanced. The portions were small. I wouldn't go back again after having that experience. Which sucks. Because I think it's in a beautiful spot and with more care it would be a wonderful place for dinner.

We had a wonderful meal at Il Terrazzo for the first time and we will definitely be back! It was very casual dining with amazing food. We sat inside but there is a ton of outdoor dining that's dog friendly. We were helped immediately, and sat by the window. Views of the river were lovely. We ordered their homemade bread and two pasta dishes. I had the Tartufo which was truffle pasta and my fiance had their lasagna and they were both incredible!

The servers were lovely and polite but the service was very slow. It took a long time to get our drinks and even longer to get the bill after we told three different servers we were ready. They weren't busy at all. Atmosphere and table by the window couldn't have been nicer! Just slow sevice.

It is always good. ALWAYS. The server suggested a modification to an entree that my wife was interested in to accommodate a food allergy. Everything was prepared perfectly. The wine list is very good. The owner Michael came out to check on us and told us a little about the wine that we had ordered. I highly recommend this restraurant.

We brought our kids and they were very patient with them. We sat outside so they wouldn't be too annoying which worked and it was fun to people watch. Everyone loved their food including the desserts. The tiramisu was heavenly. Took a looped walk along the waterfront/bridges which was a perfect after meal activity.

We were thrilled to discover that this chill bar is a sister establishment to Il Terrazzo next door and has their full Italian wine list. Nothing like sipping a bottle of Nebbiolo by the river!

Overall great experience. Delicious food! Friendly staff. Relaxed pace for service - some might say it's slow but we got the sense it was intentionally paced to be that way. Tasted some wine before we ordered a bottle - nice selection. Got the Gorgonzola pasta and it was incredible. Husband got puttanesca and he loved it. Chocolate mascarpone cream for dessert was fantastic. Would have liked to sit outside but it was 90°+, so we will have to come back on a cooler day!

Never tried this place so we figured we give it a try, usually not the one to do this but here we go.......first we had to wipe our own table down, second we had to take and pour our own wine bottle then to add the topping on the cake pizza was extremely chared and burnt and not one bit tasty and we had to cut it our selves and the have an automatic tip that starts at 18 percent , lucky we ordered the cheese with the bread on the side no utensils so we ate with our hands, that was decent but yea never again

Good food but service is very bad!!! Took 15 minutes for the server to come to make the initial greeting and take drinks order and the restaurant wasn't even busy at all. So we decided to order everything all at once to avoid waiting for her for another 20-30 minutes to come back to take our meal order.

Had a wonderful meal at Il Terrazzo. Enjoyed everything about our time at this restaurant. The view is lovely. All the people that we interacted with, to include our wonderful waiter Aiden, was spot on. The food was delicious. The pricing was very reasonable. It was a lovely way to spend our 30th anniversary.

Il Terrazo's menu almost totally features menu items that consist of large portion of pasta with a smattering of the more expensive ingredients, like squid, sausage, etc. This makes for a high profit per item mark-up for the establishment. (However, the view, the ambience, - and the foot-traffic - puts them in a very high-rent location.) The view, the ambience and the foot-traffic, along with the attentive service, are what make the carb-loaded dishes more tasty than otherwise.
