It's a dive bar but the food is better than that

IMO people are sleeping on the carnitas at this place. So many places just put a pork shoulder in a crock pot and call it carnitas, but this place does it right. The home made chips are also on point. I did drop a star because the al pastor lacks pop and is a bit under seasoned, but the rest of the menu is strong.

The asada quesadilla was delicious and our Cadillac margarita, hands down the best!

Interesting place. The vibes are horrendous but I think that’s part of its charm. Food is really good IMO when you wanna get some tacos in a strange atmosphere. A little pricey for some tacos I would say, but they’re never bad. I would recommend checking it out if you live in the neighborhood.

OMG the food is amazing I went a few times. The first time I loved it my friend ordered a burrito and I got jealous even though the food i ate was delicious I wanted everything.

This place is really good! The food, the vibes. Unfortunately cannot eat here again. Ate here on April 8th, and go food poisoning on the 12th. It’s the 21st and I’m still recovering. Just beware of what you can handle, this is just my experience

I was walking in the neighborhood and was craving a burrito. 🌯 My friend told me about this place saying it was her late night go to spot. I am always on the hunt for good quality vegan options so I was thrilled to see soy curl al pastor on the menu. I will definitely back! Yum 😋

while the woman who took my order was friendly enough to chat about a film we had both seen, the food really missed the mark for the cost.

truly the worst mexican food i’ve ever experienced in my entire life. i’m not one to waste food but sadly ended up throwing out the majority of my burrito. the veg-meat had an almost bbq flavor that overpowered the burrito. the textures within the burrito were messy & unsatisfying not to mention the beans/rice etc. were luke-warm. it was like eating a sloppy joe as a burrito. the chips were stale and cold, the salsa was a weird texture.

as someone who never doesn’t finish a burrito, i threw away the majority of this one.

RESPONSE TO THE OWNER-

maybe you missed the part where i stated twice that the food was so bad i quite literally had to throw it away. me leaving a 1 star review is to absolutely help people to NOT EAT HERE. there are plenty of other great mexican places in portland.

keep rolling your eyes. i don’t owe your staff, liking your food or leaving a stellar review when that’s not the reality. making people wait around 20+ minutes for a burrito that’s lukewarm isn’t cool.

I love the tacos here! The staff is also super friendly. But sadly they offer online ordering but the process doesn’t work. I placed an early order today at 11:14 to be picked up at 12:50. I arrived at 12:43 and they had not started the order yet. They let me know they had to make the food for the entire lot filled dining room before they started my order and it would be at least 25 minutes. This puts me in a jam because I wanted to order food from a local restaurant for my clients. They reserved their lunch time for me to stop by and sadly your business caused a poor experience on all ends. I would recommend taking down the online ordering until the process is fixed.

Bartender was very standoffish. Had question about the drink he served us and he was rude about it. We're just curious on the way they made it. Food is not taco truck style. But not too bad.

I'm actually crying laughing at this to go order I just opened. I came in a couple of months ago and ordered a wet burrito with carnitas that I have been DAYDREAMING about ever since. I finally come back tonight, and the menu looks much more simplified, so I ask the server if I can still get a wet burrito and I'm told yes. I got home and opened the box and I'm dying laughing because it looks like half a jar of pace salsa was dumped on this burrito. Like you guys could have just told me no, we don't have enchilada sauce anymore ?
