Not bad overall! I went for the food, it's definitely trying to be upscale but the taste for me was just ok. It wasn't the standard bar fare by any means, but it also wasn't totally amazing for me.
This bar is a big open area and a back patio, the atmosphere is kind of upscale concrete chic and it works. All in all great place!

food was decent but over priced. service was ok, I have to give it a 1 star because a dog was running around in the the restaurant and took a giant dump right next to our table in the patio area. ruined my meal. then I saw multiple staff including our waiter pet and hug the dog. Absolutely disgusting, will never go back.

I’ve been to rontoms two separate times over the years. Both times were rude when it came to some staff and the clientele they served. Just very rude and off vibe. So I stopped going.
The the reason I wrote this review is because not only has the establishment been a negative experience for me, but it has been for some staff members as well. They mistreat their employees who are not in positions of power and allow racist remarks and a hostile workplace for their employees of color. Employees who report such actions end up being “let go” as a way of silencing them.

Bartenders didn’t really seem to know what they were doing and weren’t super friendly either. I had an open tab and went back to get another drink and instead they opened a second tab for me so when I closed out they charged me wrong. Which caused them to do an automatic 20% tip for a mistake that they made. Don’t think I’ll be returning
One of my all time favorite bars in Portland. I've spent so much time here, it feels like home. The prices are always reasonable and the food is great. The patio in unbeatable and is well heated in the winter. I always bring friends here when they are visiting as it is great for groups and is honestly such a quintessential Portland bar. Don't miss out if you're visiting!

My friends and I went here on a whim because we walked by and liked the music. The service, music, and drinks ended up far exceeding our expectations. The person servicing our table, Nicole, did an impeccable job of making sure our drinks were full and that we had everything needed. 10/10 experience.
