The bouncer made my friend take off his Christmas glasses because “they’re not about that crawl stuff”.
Proceed to go inside and the place is filled with baseball hats, hoodies, and cocktail dresses.
They’ve really cultivated something superrr cool in there

I love the outdoor patio and the ambiance, and the outdoor mass timber structure.

It's big, it's loud, and it's a decent bar, with friendly bartenders. I didn't get to try the food though.

The patio looks great, but it was pouring rain when we were here so didn't spend any time there.

I personally didn't like the way the female bartender talked to me. The male waiter and male bartender on this night were very nice though. It would be wrong to judge the entire bar on this one person's attitude. Nice place, fun vibe, staff for the most part is very nice.

Truly, I cannot overstate the transcendence of my experience at Rontoms. Upon entering, I was greeted not merely by warmth, but by ambiance incarnate: a wood-burning stove casting a golden glow over a conversation pit so magnetic it could have its own gravitational pull.

The bartender, a veritable sage of hospitality, guided me toward the back patio, a mythical realm of crackling stoves, the most soul-affirming beef stew I’ve ever encountered, and yes… a ping pong table. A PING PONG TABLE.

Picture this: a Prohibition-era speakeasy colliding with Jessica Yu’s 2007 film “Ping Pong Playa,” set against a Portland twilight. Smoke curls upward, laughter drifts, someone lands a perfect forehand smash, and suddenly you understand joy.

Exquisite doesn’t even begin to cover it. Bring your family, your friends, your enemies—by the end of the night, you’ll all be kin.

Sat outside. Employee smoked her cigarette 15 feet from our table, then flicked it. It was great smelling cigarette smoke while it continued to burn. $550 meal, but acted like we were an inconvenience. Automatic 20% gratuity??

Have only had negative experiences with the staff. Cool place, horrible service. Super rude even when it’s not busy.
