I ordered the Mexican Hot chocolate with almond milk made with the chocolate from Vietnam. It's rich with some spice to it and not just hot.My wife got the chocolate chill. It was super good! This has been the best drinking chocolate experience I've had by far.Highly recommend it.

For people wanting to try the hot chocolate: it is a nice level of not overly sweet, which I really like. Keep in mind that the hot chocolate is very very rich, and fairly thick. Love this place very much

The shop is in a bit of a weird location. We passed 2 people using drugs walking the few blocks from our hotel (obviously not their fault but keep in mind). Once you get to the store it seems much better with more trendy shops surrounding it. The location smell amazing obviously! Service was quick. The sipping chocolate was amongst the thickest I've ever had. They provided a side of cream and water which helps cut the richness.

Wish I came here sooner! What a unique spot with some of the best chocolate I've ever had. I got the Hot Chocolate which was thick and luscious but not at all sweet. This with their butter crossiant would have been amazing. However, their Chocolate Orange scone was also to die for. Warm, buttery, and flakey with bits of chocolate and orangy galze. Perfect combination. The Bicerin was super unique as well, being a layered chocolate and coffee drink. Their space is big and open with many seatings. Staffs were very experienced and knowledgeable. Can't wait to be back and bring literally everyone!

We love it here. The chocolate is decedent and rich, with lots of tasty drink and food options. They list the sources for their chocolates and have good transparency. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We love watching the chocolate mixer run while we wait for our order too.

On a cold and rainy PDX day, I was in the mood for hot chocolate. I google searched "best hot chocolate in Portland," Roste Chocolate House was the first option listed. That was enough for me to venture outside. As soon as I entered Roste, a wall of beautiful chocolate aroma hit me. It was magnificent. I ordered the Peruvian drinking chocolate. The first thing that I noticed was the beautiful presentation of the tray. As soon as the chocolate reached my tastebuds, I couldn't help but smile, no joke. It was warm, thick, and full of flavor. I 100% would recommend this cafe.

A little bitter for my taste. There’s a lot of care taken with the chocolate, where you can see where it’s from. I don’t know if my palette is refined enough to tell the difference though. And a cozy seating area and specialty drinks that change throughout the seasons.
