Cool vibe, great beer! Great place to start our Portland trip
Literally the best pizza I’ve ever had! Yum!!!!
Ruse makes consistently high-quality beer and also serves delicious Detroit-style pizza, which I initially viewed skeptically as I am a lover of NY-style pizza.
Excellent hart IPA's
Ruse makes excellent beer. They are IPA-centric. There are nooks and crannies to have a good conversation unless there is a band playing. People bring their well behaved dog. There is only food on the weekend, but the pizza is delicious.
Dog friendly - Strange entertainment choices - Not many beer options
My positive comment is that they are dog friendly! They had so many dogs there it was fun to sit and hang with them. Plenty board games to play.
Im a sour or a lighter beer kind of gal, there wasn’t any options I could enjoy and what I tried tasted pretty bad not gunna lie.
They had some kind of band come and play live music and I hate to say it, but just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
A goodly amount of IPAs on tap, but the American Stout is where it’s at. The Crust Collective on Thursdays makes some of the best hoagies I’ve ever had on the West Coast. Highly recommend swinging by on a Thursday. Great atmosphere, chill vibe, easy parking.
Slay beers, love fluorescent farms. Love the bartenders and love the pizza. Worth the stop
Great beers! Awesome selection. Pizza on weekends. 1st class service!
Ruse is a fun and even (during the day) kid-friendly Brewery in SE, nice selection of solid beers and some very tasty food!
Restaurantji Recommends
The bartenders are very knowledgeable and passionate about beer. We loved their fresh hop beers. Ruse knows how to make hoppy beers! Loved our experience and can't wait to come back.
Excellent fresh hops IPA, Caesar salad, and Towering Trees pizza. It’s unusual to get all three right! Plenty of casual seating. Close to bike trails.
Great selection. Friendly staff. Worth a visit.
I love ruse. I have been a patron since they opened. Frequent both crust collective and SE. one of the few taprooms that allows dogs inside- which is awesome. Not a fan of their recent pricing changes. $8 for a couvers light? When it’s $4 in a can. I can understand the simplicity of having them all cost the same but Seems more like a cash grab.
Awesome staff. Very tasty beers. Plus pizza.
