Food was okay. I had higher expectations than what was served. Thought the pork coppa was a bit bland.

It’s no secret how good this place is. Menu has changed all 3 times we’ve been there besides the famous rolls and the slider. This is the fine dining of food carts. The pork shop is always perfectly cooked and the salads are so unique and flavorful. I highly recommend this spot to anyone plus the bar next door has good drinks to pair.

We heard about Ruthie's on ' Somebody Feed Phil.' It didn't disappoint... delicious! We had the Rick fish sliders and the potatoes. Grandma's rolls were hot and fresh. Nice outdoor seating tucked away in a back alley.

We got the potatoes and citrus salad and they were incredible, some of the best I’ve had. And of course the grandma’s rolls are a must, can’t wait to come

This was a long overdue review (we visited it last year) because I was torn to give it 2/5 stars for the supposed-to-be-so-love food truck in PDX. We did not enjoy the food at all. I bookmarked this place when my friends told me about the Netflix Street Food episode featuring Portland, Oregon. It's in a cute backyard garden, right behind a bar mentioned in previous reviews. Street parking in this area is usually super chaotic, so plan accordingly.Super friendly service from the owner himself!I came here specifically for Grandma Ruthies's Famous Roll. It was dried and not flaky. I didn't care much for the jam or butter that came with it. It was genuinely sad because everyone else raved about how much they loved it!My husband ordered the pork chop, and he said it was thin and small for the price. It was overcooked with not much flavoring. We haven't returned to give it another chance since I didn't like how many times I had to circle the block to find parking.

My GOODNESS!We came here after my TV dad, Phil Rosenthal, recommended it (Somebody Feed Phil) and it did NOT disappoint. Sometimes I get nervous about places being hyped up but my friends, this place deserves the hype! We ordered the rolls, rockfish sliders, funeral potatoes (pretty sure they are named that because I want to be buried with them?), pork chop and cookie and everything was absolutely fire. This place really highlights the ingredients in a way that makes them all shine.Ok, I will stop gushing over this place… but you’ll get it when you go.

The pork chop is fantastic! Great flavor in the meat and sauce, with delicious char from their wood burning oven. Definitely recommend.

Overrated I think. I had a friend tell me they saw it on that show other people already mentioned, and to check it out. Rockfish slider was good but for something so simple $9 is a lil steep. The "biscuits" -- well yer grammy can keep em. Basically a larger version of a parkerhouse roll but strangely folded layered dough and with 0 flavor (no salt, nada). The only help was from the salted butter and raspberry jam, of which not enough was provided to handle two giant, bland rolls. Glad i didnt buy a $25 entree. I might eat the slider again if I came back, but I think overhyped.
Southern, but certainly elevated. Grandma would be proud.
