Excellent food and service for such an obscure location. We were new to the Sa Bai experience and went back a second time as an out of state visitor from Orlando, Florida. We were visiting family in Gresham, Oregon and stumbled upon this gem serving up large portions and good service. We were NOT so delighted over adding cashews to our meal choice as an option only to be charge $5 for about 7 or 8 nuts within the Pad See Ew dish. We contacted our server who went to the owner hiding behind a refrigerator in the back right corner of the establishment to be told that that is what they charge for nuts (we were told on our bill after the fact). We explained that were not told this ahead of ordering and that we did not know there would be a charge and that we could by an ENTIRE CAN of cashews/halves for this price. They did not offer to cut the fee in half or remove it whatsoever. We felt ripped off a bit and will think about it twice and seriously before returning to Sa Bai. Ethical behavior is a must in my books and I do not reward bad choices or bad behavior. Food Was good Service was okay. Not a bad place, but learning how to RUN a business and RETAIN new customers is a skill that could be learned by Sa Bai. THX

Delicious Thai food that is convenient for the area. The pork belly rice dish was good. Drunken noodles were good. Thai tea was good and well portioned! Would come back to try more items. Papaya salad was my least favorite

Staff are kind and accommodating. Food is the best Thai in Portland since I've moved here from Seattle. Mild can still be spicy, just as a heads up.

The atmosphere was very relaxed, with cute and fitting decor. The pricing is on the mid-high end, but 100% worth it.

One of my favorite comfort food places to come whenever I get paid.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and served promptly, and the customer service was truly outstanding. I was seated right away with no wait, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They were friendly, attentive, and created an atmosphere that felt like being part of a family.

The restaurant was very busy, which is always a good sign, yet the service never faltered. The only suggestion I would make is to consider expanding the space, as it’s clearly a popular spot and could benefit from accommodating more guests.

Overall, the combination of great food, warm hospitality, and efficient service made this one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to others.
