Great Lomo Saltado

Just Me

I loved the food. Never had food from Peru and didn't have any expectations. Sitting at the airport looking for food near me and came up with this gem.

Probably the worst food cart experience I've ever had in Portland. Undercooked yucca, stale-tasting rice, way over-salted vegetables, fish tasted like it had been frozen way too long and was also dredged in salt. Hopefully I don't get food poisoning. Thoroughly unsatisfied.

I really wanted to like this place since the guys working there were very nice. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not up to par. The lomo saltado ($20) was almost inedible. The meat was extremely tough, and the fries were basically just large chunks of soggy potato. The red onions were the best part of the dish, but you can't really mess up onions imo. We ended up leaving most of the dish untouched. The ceviche de pescado ($19) was a bit better, but nothing special. I wouldn't order it again, especially for the price.

Just FYI, we saw a sign offering a free soda for a 5-star review on google. This is likely why they have such good reviews.

The food was delicious! I had the arroz con pollo and the rice was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The papa rellana was super good and reminded me of a recipe my grandma cooked. Go here for delicious food.

Was dry chicken, expensive, and not a lot of flavor.

Great and authentic... very real and the flavors are everything i know and have experienced in Peru. Warning... location can be considered questionable at night due to the ladies that come out on the street looking for business but it doesn't take away from this amazing gem!

I had the tallarines verdes con bistec and el arroz chaufa con pollo. Authentic 100%. So good!! Can’t wait to come back for the ceviche, seco and papa rellena. Yum ?
Might come back earlier in day though. Didn’t like atmosphere at night.
