Best ice-cream ever
Got the pickled cucumber sorbet, it was surprisingly good.
Great atmosphere, polite staff, free samples, and delicious ice cream!
Not only the best ice cream & our favorite ice cream place but also the kindest most caring staff! The double bubble flavor starting making our daughters tongue itchy / weird feeling and so I went back to switch and get her honey lavender. I was totally willing to pay but instead not only did they switch it on the house but they even got water for us and made sure she was okay. Made my Mamma heart feel super blessed & totally made my daughter happy that she didn’t have to miss out on the ice cream adventure 🤍✨
Unique and delicious!
Great ice cream
Salt & Straw in Portland is an absolute gem! The staff are always friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about helping you sample their creative flavors. I love how adventurous the menu is — every visit feels like a new experience, from classics like Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons to seasonal surprises that push the boundaries of what ice cream can be. The quality is unmatched: rich, creamy, and made with locally sourced ingredients. Even when there’s a line out the door, it moves quickly, and it’s always worth the wait. A must-visit spot in Portland for ice cream lovers!
DEVON IS THE WOMAN SO KIND AND GREAT ICE CREAM 🍨 AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Been here many times. They usually have three or four vegan ice cream and sorbet varieties. They're not bad. Can usually find something that's okay. But none of the flavors have ever blown me away. Go to Kates on Mississippi. It's 100% vegan and gluten-free ice cream. The flavors are mind blowing!

Always interesting flavors
Salt & Straw has some interesting and creative flavors, but honestly, it doesn’t quite live up to the hype. The ice cream itself is good (not amazing) and the vibe feels a little chaotic rather than cozy. Be ready for long wait times (depending on the time of day), which makes the experience less enjoyable. Worth trying once, but probably not a go-to spot.
Best, most interesting ice creams & wonderful efficient staff, generous with samples so you can try before you buy.
Excellent ice cream and really great service. The girl who waited on my large group was extremely patient and helpful with samples and suggestions. We will definitely come back.
It is the best ice cream around.
