Live right around the corner and this is our go to sushi spot! Incredible staff, so pleasant and attentive! On top of the phenomenal service they have gluten free tempura which feels like such a treat. I also highly recommend chance of rain. If you’re on Mississippi you need to stop here!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free tempera!!!

My favorite sushi place in the area. The servers are all so sweet and the food is excellent. The ramen is amazing too, which is surprising considering ramen at sushi bars usually feels more like an afterthought. I’m a frequent customer here and I’ve yet to ever have any issues.

Awesome local sushi spot! I’ve been looking for a place that has great sushi takeout for lunch. Samurai Blue has an awesome lunch special, 4 simple rolls for $15. I think next time I’ll split the special with my partner and order a fun roll, the perfect lunch. Super quick pickup, about 20 minutes. Super cute inside, too. Very nice people here as well. Perfect way to break up my work day. Lovely!

I was walking along Mississippi St to check out the shops and happened across this restaurant. I ordered a lunch box bento with chicken and a 4pc spicy tuna roll and one of their specialty rolls, Spicy Grilled Eel roll. I sat at the bar so I got to see the roll I ordered made by the sushi chef which was cool. I love unagi and it was a little more subtle spiciness which is fine by me. The unagi was fresh and tasty. The grilled chicken in the lunch box was flavorful and tasted great. Normally I'm underwhelmed by any grilled chicken at other sushi places I've been too. Overall I felt satisfied with the price I paid.

My husband and I were walking down the street to get ice cream after dinner when I saw their sign for a Vegan Nigiri Flight. So we sat down for 2nd dinner and shared the flight. We really enjoyed it and there were some taste combinations I never thought of putting together but they were great!

I cannot get over their Calamari, the first time I had it I spent a solid month trying Calamari at every restaurant I went to, it was all subpar. I think the thing is it's not heavily breaded and just a light crispy breading. Their sushi is also great but the Calamari....???

Very wonderful visit! The food was amazing, and they provided us with beginners chopsticks as we weren't able to work regular ones. The decor was beautiful and it was a worthwhile visit overall.

Love this place! Staff was super kind, and ramen was good! Hope to stop by again soon.Dietary restrictions: super accommodating for gluten free
Food is overpriced for the quality. We had the chirashi bowl and were not happy with the rice, which was dry and not a good texture. Signature ramen was too salty for my taste (I do like ramen, but this was really heavy and I couldn’t finish the bowl w the lingering taste of salt…I hope not an artificial additive). We expressed disappointment with the Chirashi bowl and were given an apology and offer to take it away but I would’ve appreciated an offer to take it off our bill or some courtesy like that. Bravo roll was just okay. The atmosphere is nice, but for the price and quality I’d go elsewhere.

I stopped in with a friend because we happened to be in the area. We had their signature ramen and the sashimi platter. First they could make a hit ramen restaurant on its own. It was the best ramen I’ve had in the US. The only place I’ve ever had better ramen was in Tokyo. The sashimi was SUPER fresh, well cut and every piece was delicious.Their service was quick, kind and generous. What you would expect from a friendly, locally owned, family restaurant. It was an excellent experience all around. Would highly recommend.Vegetarian options: I’m not vegetarian but I noticed a ton of options.Parking: Not sure if we came at a good time but we parked 1.5 blocks away which seemed easy to find.

Samurai Blue is a great neighborhood sushi spot! They offer a very good sushi, with yet a creative diverse menu of other great items like Korean Fried Chicken, sushi tacos and ramen! That's what I love about the place, you can go in for high quality omakase if you wanted, or you can opt for Korean ribs! It's extremely diverse and delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is clean and relaxing. I love coming here to grab a drink when walking down Mississippi. The staff is also super friendly! Highly recommend!
