Neat little joint with a quaint building filled with old-school bar art and kitsch.
Good pours from a friendly bartender, worth checking out

Thursday, October 2nd. Me and my friends party of four came in here. We looked at everyone. Didn't see anyone behind a bar sat down at a table it was like. I'm sure they'll be back. This was about 10:30 at night by the way. Sat there looking at each other confused. Looked at the bar still wasn't able to find a single person and this was supposed to be my bachelor bar crawl so we were supposed to. You know be spending a lot of money and having fun. Ended up leaving for the bar. Just a couple over place was cool. Service was absolute garbage. Get your stuff together because this is the first and the last time I will ever check this place out and I will recommend it to no one

Great spot in NE from the people who own several other spots, breathing new life into hidden gems all around the city. Very chill vibe and an awesome patio.

It’s shaped like a jug!!! Also the back patio is really lovely on a summer evening. I had a rose cider which was divine.

I love the jug!! Prices are a little high for what it is I think. Like it’s divey and grungy, but maybe also it’s trying to not be that idk. Been more than a few times and always a great hang EXCEPT when there’s trivia or an event and it’s loud but also that’s any bar when there’s trivia.

Quite possibly the best burger I've ever had! Such a cool place with a rich history and welcoming vibes. This might be our new favorite spot in Portland.

Much love for the Jug but y’all changed the Jug Burger recipe and now it’s way too salty 😢😢😢 whatever you did please change it back, it was so good before

A little jewel of a neighborhood bar in NE. LGBTQIA+ friendly vibes and just friendly vibes in general, great food and drinks for a decent price, spacious patio with covered and uncovered options, retro dark inside seating, great staff, and always something extra going on.

I love the Jug! Usually a good crowd all night. Excellent burgers and drinks. Love the decor inside, it’s fun to look at all the little hidden antiques in the bar.

This bar was a miss for our group, they did not have any drink special for happy hour even though happy hour is advertised. There was only one bartender working which can be okay but they were also not friendly to us upon arrival. The outdoor seating is nice but the location and experience are not appealing.

Wow this place has changed and for the good, I was there in the past nothing food wise to talk about but it has an atmosphere of its own, today the atmosphere is chill and there patio is nice and spacious food was great and service was prompt except for forgetting the ranch, but all in all a good experience and would recommend it tell em rickthefoodcartguy sent you and enjoy the street eats, keep Portland weird and eat at the carts too.
