Visited for Portland Restaurant Month and had the $33 per person menu. It was great and had a wonderful time with my wife there. Our waiter was great and the service was spot on. We went there on the early side, around 5pm since we had to get home by 7pm for the kids. We had the whole dining room to ourselves until around 6:20p. Will definitely be on my go to list again.

Saucebox is divided in two sections, one with a darker bar/dining atmosphere with music and the next with a nice quieter dining room. The decorations and atmosphere were really nice and the food was fantastic as well. It may be a little pricey for sinner but they have excellent happy hour specials. I got the sampler plate which was the perfect amount of food for dinner. The tapioca dumplings were the best out of the plate. Such an interesting texture and such delicious filling!

Such a great vibe here and the food was spectacular. Pork Udon Noodles were a little spicy but man they were good. Would have liked to see a few more bun options on the dim sum but the ones I ordered were great. Everything paired well with their Saucebox white wine.

Our waiter was interesting and engaging with interesting conversation. Service was excellent as was the food. Recommend the crispy brussel sprouts and the Javanese Salmon which had a nice mild heat element. The KungPow Shrimp was also excellent.

Poor service can be part of a venues charm. This is not one of those places. The staff seemed to find everything inconvenient about doing their role there (service related). I know that they were capable of good service though... a couple of attractive women came in and one of the bartenders almost hurt himself to rush over and provide excellent service. Everyone else was SOL with the staff.

Saucebox was definitely a good time. Ate the brussel sprouts, steak satay, and soft shelled crab. All of it was perfect and tasted amazing. Kelsey was our server and she had a perfect balance of checking in on our needs and giving us space to talk and enjoy the ambience. Most definitely will be back soon.
The front desk reception, Jeri, at the Hampton suggested this restaurant. The food at Saucebox was delicious, the drinks were amazing (so many choices), and our server, Kat, was fantastic. We asked Kat many questions regarding food and cocktails and she explained and answered all of our questions, ultimately guiding us to our best food/drink decisions in Saucebox. Would highly recommend. Thanks to Jeri for suggesting and Kat for her assistance.

I love the vibes here!! Everything was great; the food, the service, the decorations- I came here a couple weeks ago and kept meaning to make sure I wrote a review!! This place is definitely a new favorite for when I feel like really splurging.

It was a huge wait and server was really uncontrolled. kept explaining on how busy she was and made 4 tables walk out. Took us 10 minutes to get seated another 40 minutes ti get our drinks. Food and quality was perfect. Then they had trivia night blasting upstairs and only 3 participants upstairs and was loud and had music playing over the house music. Other than that beautiful restaurant and great ambiance

Terrible New Years Eve experience! Sorry Saucebox but there was a clear lack of planning from the start to end of this event. I felt bad for your two bartenders as they were overwhelmed with customers. Also the countdown was a flop; it was as if nobody rehearsed a plan for NYE. Music was mediocre. Also who does cash only bars when people are lining up to buy champagne? Not a great way to start 2020.

Food was overpriced and not exceptional service was terrible none of us got our food at the same time it was 10 minutes apart after a long wait when I question is the waiter said it’s alacart ,So the meals don’t come at the same time ? Question when you pay over $100 for a meal I think the meals should come at the same time
