The children running the show were more interested in showing eachother videos on they're phone than getting orders prepared on time.

This Sbarro needs an overhaul. The employees that work here have the personalities of cardboard or look like you’re inconveniencing them by ordering. The front area with the utensils is a mess and the literally snails pace they work with literally the bare minimum communication is just sad. Who is managing this place because it always feels like it’s in shambles!

Went here for dinner with my fiancé and was unsatisfied. The girl helping us had a very bad attitude which was upsetting from the beginning. The food was okay. The prices were a little much for pizza that sits all day… maybe next time.

I just called the store asking if the items I ordered were available in case they would be substituted (which has happened before without asking my preference) and the woman who answered the phone at 12:50pm 11/13/24 was so rude and hung up on me. I said “ hi I just wanted to confirm if the items on my order were available?” And listen the items and name. And she said yes I’m waiting for the driver ma’am I’m still working on it. And proceeded to hang up the phone.

Worst place to eat at Washington Square. Their utensils literally look so dirty in the holder they sit at in front of the cash register, there’s an older woman who works with putting together peoples food orders, or maybe she orders for them because she was telling me to grab my order at the register and I hadn’t even said what I wanted to eat yet. And when I got to finally speak, I said I wanted some pasta she just assumes it’s the penne, that looks inedible by the way. I stopped her and said not that pasta (penne) and she gives me the rudest glare. I asked her for spaghetti and meatballs and she just slops some meat sauce on top of my spaghetti. Paid for a meatball I didn’t even get. Absolute worst dining experience I’ve ever had at a mall. I’ve eaten at other food spots in this food court and I’ve never had such a rude encounter before like this. If I could give negative starts, I would. But I guess we’ll settle for 1 star for the poorest customer service and eating experience. Don’t waste your money here.

The older lady working there is so rude to employees and customers. I ordered bread sticks and they where out of bread sticks. So we ordered spaghetti and asked for Parmesan the young girl told me it was in a black little bucket they have upfront I was looking when the older lady says where out of Parmesan and make a comment to me " you say where out of Parmesan and they still look " . I had also ordered a water which I didn't get you I went back to get it and she screamed where out of Parmesan which the young girl tells her oh no no I forgot to give her the water. How does me asking for Parmesan became a rude encounter to her telling the young girl to move out of the way. If you don't like dealing with customers don't get a job where you have to deal with customer service

now, i really like sbarro for "mall food."
been to many different sbarro locations and rarely get anything other than great food. same can't always be said for the employees, they're usually at least mildly unpleasant and/or unhelpful.
however, this one...probably should be shut down.
the food's improperly prepared, and stale/overcooked/dried out.
as a nice bonus, the employees are the most miserable, morose, inattentive, rude humans in food service.
never going back to this location again.

Guys seemed to be upset we were even there. Acted like they didn't see us. I never give bad reviews but they should be fired. I bet the numbers are down around there with those type of attitudes. We actually left...didn't even end up ordering and they laughed about it.

Sbarro should be banned in the US. Literally the worst pizza place that exists on planet earth.

Be careful when you order at this place. I ordered a combo meal and they charged me a la carte prices. The first time it happened, I didn't notice it until I left the counter so I let it slide. The 2nd time it happened, I pointed it out to the cashier. He was not too happy to correct his mistake. There's not going to be a 3rd time.

I should have read the reviews, this place isn’t good. Pizza is very greasy, not a great taste and expensive for what you get. Many better options at the food court. Stay away unless u are desperate for pizza.

No effort. Employees need to wake up and focus. Jalapeños weren’t cooked into the pizza, they were just slapped on and tossed falling out the box. Pizza was hard like it has been sitting in the warmer. Slices were out of proportion, sauce is too watery. Cheese was hardened not fresh.

The first time I ate at a Sbarro's was on a military base when I was stationed overseas. And it was kind of the go-to when the base pizza place that was usually attached to a bowling alley or NCO/Officers club was not available.Pros:1. Decent pizza for what it is compared to other pizzas and especially for "mall pizza".2. My kids like their cheese pizza and whatever my kids like it's at least a one-star for me.3. Convenient location. My kids can have the pizza and I can have some other junk food around the mall if I'm not in the mood for pizza.4. No one beats Costco pizza prices. Period. But, Sbarro's whole large/XL pizzas are actually cheaper on average than most pizza places around. So, at the price point and quality, it's really not that bad unless you're just extra picky about your pizza.Not-so-good:1. Expensive slices. In fact, I remember getting a combo on base for like $2.95 back in the day. Now it's between $5 to $8. I get it. Inflation, but there are other places that sell per slice that's cheaper is all I'm saying. And you share the seating with others not eating at Sbarro's. So, what's that overhead really look like? Not $5 to $8-a-slice-worth. A slice is more expensive compared to a slice per whole extra large pizza.2. Which means, they're probably trying to get you to buy a whole pizza so they don't waste as much. I mean, what happens if all the slices don't sell? Sbarro's has to suck up some of that cost. Whereas, if you buy a whole pizza and you don't eat the slices left over, it's on you. Maybe they could sell more slices if they made it cheaper? Just a thought, it is the mall after all and not everyone is into whole pizza's on the go.3. From my experience on military bases where Sbarro's existed most workers were foreign nationals who did not want to appear rude by any means. If the servers weren't foreign nationals, they were teenagers who knew better than to mouth off at guys in uniform who could easily call out their parents in whatever unit they were assigned at. So maybe there's just a difference in the cultures, but at this particular Sbarro's most workers are just there for a paycheck. Period. They don't really care about customer service from the perspective of someone who looks at this place as a business. Some of the teenage workers there will play grab-a$$ with each other for a while before even noticing you've been standing there waiting for someone to help you out. And they're manners are not on top of their game. Again, I get it. It's the mall and it's a freekin' pizza place in-the-mall. It's not like I'm paying high quality food here, albeit the prices seem like it. If you think it's bad here...go to Sbarro's in New York.Saying all that, Sbarro's used to be like those small "Italian" chains. Now they're just mall pizza. So, a little downgrade on the quality and service is to be expected. Or maybe it's just me and I just understand that this is how the way things work. You know? Once you get that kiosk food stuff in the mall, it's nothing like the sit-down restaurant original version...ever. 3-star of being what is it...not great not horrible...just mall pizza.
