Food was delicious and the thoughtful staff went above and beyond helping my mother navigate the restaurant with her walker.
Our server was super pretty and very sweet, perfect service. Food was beyond amazing and the zero proof drink was yummy and fun! We will be coming back!
Talk about a well run restaurant! Fast, on top of everything from the moment we walked in the door! Great, friendly service and delicious food. We will absolutely go back the next time we are in Portland!
The food was fine. Authentic southern biscuits, and the shrimp and grits were excellent. The waitress was funny.

The food was delicious and the customer service was superb! The chicken and waffles were really good, and the bacon appetizer was absolutely amazing. My entire party loved both the food and the service, we'll definitely be back!
As a Texas man living in Portland, I don't often get a taste of home. Screen door provided not only familiar flavors but a level of service not common in the pacific northwest. I didnt find 1 to 1 flavor comparisons, rather an elevation on old time favorites.
Never really liked baked beans but theirs are amazing. Flavor on the ribs was incredible (im eating the leftovers as I write this today.) The baked Mac and cheese is the best tasting in the state of Oregon so far. The cornbread!! The sweet tea!!
And to top it off I felt like I was sitting in my grandmother's den, eating with family.
I can not wait to come back and try the less expensive items. To be clear my wife and I had ribs, appetizers, desserts and beers all coming in at under $100 pre tip. Phenomenal value for price. Enough left over for a satisfying lunch.
I cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation today.

Well, we went for the fried chicken, so we all had fried chicken: chicken and waffles and the sandwich. It's not cheap, but the food is delicious and the portions are generous. Even the fries were the perfect crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Service was great, friendly and attentive, not overbearing or disappearing.
Never disappointed with a meal here. Protip. Try the side dishes and veggies. Amazing. Great service drinks took a few 34. Nice ambience and you can hear each other tal2k

No clue why this place only has 4.7 stars. It actually deserves the full 5.
Maybe someone got their feelings hurt after they got water spilled on them and melted like the wicked witch?
One of the best, if not the best, brunch my wife and I have ever had. Don’t go here, as that will leave more open tables for when we come back.

This restaurant is absolutely fabulous. The offer an assortment of chicken related dishes all of which are fantastic.
I got chicken tenders with sides of mac and cheese and fries. Their homemade ranch is phenomenal.
My friend got the same but with mashed potatoes and those were also delicious.
It wasn’t too busy when we went (weekday) but a booking would definitely be needed on the weekend.

Over the decades, I have frequented many restaurants in the Portland metro area and have had a chance to wine & dine at variety of eateries, and at all different price points...Price to performance, Screen Door would receive a 4.5 at of 5 stars...and, the only reason that I didn't award them a perfect score is due to the high noise level within the eating area...that said, I suppose that should be expected given the popularity of the dining establishment. The food is exceptional(we were there for breakfast), the service—top notch...it's well maintained...bottom line, we intend to make many more trips back to their Bistro...we live in the western region, in the unincorporated area of Washington County, translated, we don't live nearby, however—it's well worth the trip❗️Apparently, they have been in that location for almost 20-years, and at the rate they are going—I strongly suspect that they will be there another 20 plus years.
Very cramped. Our party of 5 was huddled around a 4 top. The people behind us kept hitting us too. Not a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was good & fresh. Service was attentive.
