They seem to have moved into a permanent location. Not certain if the bus is still in operation. Very inviting space and friendly service. The location has ample seating options and lots of big windows for natural light. Large selection of traditional styles of coffee, but I was in the mood for something cold. Server recommended the Minty Thing, and it was amazing!

Unique experience to spend some time here. Definitely gives you Portlandia vibes! Even though we were told that we may not get a seat, we were seated rather soon after that. I highly appreciated that! We tried their chai latte and hot mint thing. Both great drinks with that little Egyptian twist. My 9 year old was also with us and I understand that this is not the most appropriate place for kids. There wasn't much for her to drink but we got her a cookie. She didn't fancy it because it wasn't anything like an American cookie of course. My husband and I loved it though!

II was waiting so long to visit this place and we went a bit out of the way to get here! Phil Rosenthal led us well again! Ordering was little awkward but once we got through that we got to sit on the second floor of the bus while we waited for coffees, the decor was fantastic and made me feel like i was right in Egypt! I thought i would order the traditional Egyptian coffee but once I saw the cardamom infused one I had to do that! it was superb and we loved the atmosphere even more. Highly recommend.

The first stop on our 34th "food" anniversary around the 4 quadrants of Foodie Town was at the Hawthorne Street Fair, and Tov was the first on our list for liquid heaven. On this sunny day, we tried The Mint Thing and the cold version of the *BEST* hot chocolate on earth. Both were ahhhmazing. This cold/hot chocolate is, consistently, the *BEST* liquid heaven magic I have ever put in my mouth, made with soft beads of real, smooth decadence that doesn't melt or dissolve until it reaches your mouth. Today's cold version was divine. Joe is the sweetest, and even when the line is out the door, he and his staff always make time for the nicest conversations. Love the decor upstairs too. Would love this place on the W side!

So I love the show, Somebody Feed Phil, and wanted to stop at Tov which was featured on the Portland episode. So glad that I stopped by. This coffee bus is super cute with gorgeous seating upstairs. I was there on a 104F heat wave day which meant they could not do hot drinks (understandably) so I had an iced mango tea. It was delicious and refreshing. Please seek out this off-the-beaten path coffee shop. You wont be disappointed. The staff are wonderful and friendly too.

Finally open! After some struggle to land the perfect waffle dough, they have landed it. Enjoy their fantastic brunches with a fusion of Belgian, North and Latin American flavors. Bacon in the dough? HELL YEAH!!!

The staff are really nice and accommodating! I’m excited to try more things from their menu. It’s great to have another cart open in this food pod.

I’m so happy to see this new cart open on Hawthorne! Thank you for sharing your delicious food with our neighborhood.Note to people who post reviews: when you try a new business, also try giving people some grace. Nobody is perfect. That doesn’t mean a restaurant deserves to be roasted during their first month of being open.

Bad experience. I don't want to write bad reviews and generally want to support our local businesses. We came here with friends and everyone got Thai next door but my kids wanted waffles. We ordered them and the staff was friendly and kind. We ordered the two vegetarian savory waffles and one sweet. Our friends' Thai food arrived and I checked on the waffles, they weren't ready. They said they had an issue with the waffle maker. Our friends finished their Thai food and our waffles still weren't ready. Our kids were hungry and jealous and disappointed. Their POS wasn't working so they told me to pay at the end. Finally the food was ready and they put real bacon on the goat cheese waffle, which clearly does not have meat on the menu listing. My kiddo ate a bite before noticing (thinking it was vegetarian bacon) and was really upset when she found out. I brought the waffle back and they remade it but by then our friends were ready to go and my kid hadn't had her dinner yet. When I finally paid they charged me full price and were apologetic, but I would think they'd comp me one waffle or something for not only the huge delay but meat on the vegetarian food. And the waffles were quite small for the price. A huge disappointment overall. Kind people do not make up for the multiple mistakes we experienced. Especially with the high price to eat out these days.
