I had the Seasame Noodle, they were aweful. They were bitter and super salty. The only edible thing were the nuts. The lady taking order was super rude.
Its too bad since the place itself is such a great place to sit and and eat. My seemed to like his food from Matsunoki and my Husband had Little Peacock's curry. I tried it and it realy was yummy.

Since visiting Shanghai, we look for Sheng Jian Bao every time we go to a city that might have it. For us, these hit the spot really well. Not quite soupy, but somehow it didn’t matter (and prior to eating these I would have said it absolutely mattered). We had 24 hours in Portland and came twice and got some to go for on the plane. For an amazing food city where we had some tremendous dining, this flavor-wise was still remarkably yummy. Ambiance wasn’t noteworthy, but we sat at tables outside in gorgeous weather and honestly didn’t care about the setting as we slurped these down.

Old woman working this stall refused to give me a to go bag to carry my extremely hot dumplings. I asked politely and was confused that maybe she misheard me, however, she snapped back at me and told me that those bags are for DoorDash orders only and walked away. Absolutely nonsensical and rude, will not return or recommend. Don’t pay your hard earned money to be mistreated and disrespected.

Unbelievably salty which made it impossible to really feel any of the other flavors, if there were any. I rate restaurants almost entirely based on flavor and yeah this was a painful experience.

The food was good, but after I paid and left a nice tip, i asked if I could get my meal to go. In a rude manner the woman said they dont have any to go boxes, after while eating my meal I noticed they have to go service with Uber and doordash. To me that sounds like you have to go boxes. Was not happy with the service and did not feel welcomed.

Try the green onion pancake. This place is quality wholesome Shanghai food. Talk to the owner, he's a cool guy.
the mochi balls were amazing and the service was great! made fresh to order, but so worth the wait.

Ordered the vegetarian dumplins. They were cooked just right with right amount of crisp on the bottom. They were sizeable so and order of 6 fed two of us. The filling was a nice mix of seasoning. Go light on the soy sauce as it is salty.

My partner and I stopped by while we were busy around downtown with friends from out-of-town, hoping for a quick bite. The menu and vibes were authentic. We ended up ordering fried pork dumplings since they looked good and affordable. I do admit it's not the best thing to take to-go, but the woman didn't let us do so because she insisted it's much better to eat it in person. I see where she's coming from, but it would have been nice to have the option. The taste of the dumplings themselves was decent, it had a good flavor despite being more so on the mild side. I've definitely had better dumplings in the area but they were satisfying enough.

I came with my friend to eat lunch. Her food( sesame noodles) was EXTRA salty and inedible. She went to ask for a refund and inform the cook/staff of the issue in a kind way. The lady got mad and told her “if you don’t like it, that’s your problem”, the lady also made her throw away the food instead of taking it and doing it herself. And she refused to refund her $17. Horrible customer service. Don’t recommend!

Shao Mai was the worst I have ever had. When I politely requested a refund, the owner told me that it is authentic and not his fault that I don't like it. He refused to refund the cost of the dish. The Congee was salty and very thick. The noodles were greasy and super salty. Me and my friend only ate a few bites of our dishes, then threw the food away. Wasted money and time. Stay away.

I had the nerve to ask for additional sauce portion for our two entree meal and the lady behind the counter snapped at me, telling me she had already given us one sauce container (about 2 tablespoons worth) and to come back when we ran out. Forcing us to come back up for another one seemed like an unnecessary measure. If we hadn’t already ordered and had seen this interaction, I would have left the line.
