I ordered the vegetarian pan-fried dumplings (contains: eggs, chives, and bean noodles), and I have to say they were quite good. It was clear that the dumplings were freshly made to order, as you can see them being prepared behind the counter. The flavors were fresh but on the mild side, which didn’t really detract from the dish but it left me wanting just a bit more. Had the pork pan fried dumplings and beef noodle soup. Both were very good. Dumplings with the chili oil and soy sauce were perfect flavor and texture. Soup great balance of salty, oily, beefy (not very beefy -perfect). Noodle texture was also perfect chewiness- firm, not too hard. Well crafted.
The food was delicious and was exactly what I was looking for. I got the braised beef noodles for my birthday, and they were great! Highly recommend putting dumping chili oil that is on the side right into the bowl for extra flavor. Also got two zong zi (rice dumplings)—a special menu item for the dragon boat festival—and those were delicious as well.
