This place is AMAZING! Took my wife here for a dinner date to try food from Nepal for the first time, and Sherpa has set a VERY high standard for Nepalese food. Not only that, but it’s so well priced with fresh, quality ingredients. 20 out of 10.

The momo filling had a great flavor with a delicious soup inside. But The Shaphaley dough was a bit tough and hard to chew. Overall, the food was great

This place has hands down the best tasting Nepalese food I've had in PDX. The portions are generous, the price is great. I always bring friends and family from out of town to experience Sherpa Kitchen and the Zed. The staff/owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely would recommend the momos and the chili chicken.

ordered veggie momos- dough coverings were too thick and filling barely had any taste. nothing like authentic momos.

This place is awesome!! The Momos are excellent, the salad they come with is incredible. Their noodle bowls are also delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Love this place, especially the beef chow mein. My favorite of the several great options at the Zed!

I always get the same thing when I find a place and a dish I love. This last visit to Sherpa Kitchen at The Zed food hall, the talented chef and proprietor Mingma, suggested I try the Chili Chicken w/ rice dish instead of my usual, and I went for it, medium spice. OMGoodness, so good! Thanks, Mingma! Then, I got a small bowl of the Dal to add to the dish, feeling adventurous. I loved this combination... love. So glad I branched out, or was told to branch out. ;) If you already know you like these kinds of things, you will likely be blown away. And if you aren’t sure… you may also be blown away. :) Plus, the proprietor and his staff are amazingly kind and you won't be sorry for ordering and supporting the business. If you have not yet been to The Zed (formerly Zoiglehaus) in SE Portland, then you should go. And if you have not been in a couple of years, you are in for a really uplifting surprise. This is a real community gathering place. Sincere thanks to The Zed and all of the amazingly dedicated folks who help keep it going! Ps- I may not go back to the chicken fried rice for a bit, but it is some of the best fried rice around, and basmati, so cool.
