This business is located in The historic Roosevelt Hotel Building. It was built in 1924 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. This is a beautiful building and a must see.
I got the Kumamoto Ramen: house-made noodles in a pork and chicken broth with chashu pork. It was delicious, but the portion size was much smaller than what I’m used to at other ramen restaurants and the price is much more expensive. The amount of chashu pork was also much smaller. Ironically, the spoon was 3x bigger than I’m used to at ramen restaurants.

I have enjoyed this place many times over the years and will be back because the food is amazing! Unfortunately, as with many other places in Portland right now, they seem to be suffering from staffing problems. I came in alone for miso and a hand roll before a show... I waited for about 40 minutes and I had to leave because I didn't have time to wait for the food. Many other parties also left while we were waiting.
