I got the Kumamoto Ramen: house-made noodles in a pork and chicken broth with chashu pork. It was delicious, but the portion size was much smaller than what I’m used to at other ramen restaurants and the price is much more expensive. The amount of chashu pork was also much smaller. Ironically, the spoon was 3x bigger than I’m used to at ramen restaurants.

I have enjoyed this place many times over the years and will be back because the food is amazing! Unfortunately, as with many other places in Portland right now, they seem to be suffering from staffing problems. I came in alone for miso and a hand roll before a show... I waited for about 40 minutes and I had to leave because I didn't have time to wait for the food. Many other parties also left while we were waiting. Ordered the pork gyoza, chicken kara-age, and the chicken katsu curry. All excellent choices and flavors. Loved the pork gyoza especially, ended up ordering another round for the table, and I could've eaten another order as well! Service was attentive but not bothersome, and parking was easy. Will definitely make another visit when visiting Portland.
