I've been here twice in the last couple of months and I absolutely love this spot! Great, authentic food, friendly staff and pretty decent prices especially for the quality that you get. The presentation of everything is so pretty too! On top of all that, everyone there is very patient with me when I try to use some of my very limited Japanese :)

Amazing food. A few excellent gluten-free and gluten friendly options. Comfortable outside dining area.

NOT the same restaurant (which was a good sushi restaurant not a ramen place) but there are years of positive reviews from the previous restaurant here. That is very misleading.

We were surprised to find this place empty on a Friday evening, especially considering how delicious the food was. We ordered the Sake flight, a Gokyo sake bottle, Tonkotsu ramen, chicken Donburi, chicken Nest Ramen, Gyoza, and Edamame. Every dish came in generous portions—a rare treat these days—and we all left with leftovers.

The ingredients were high quality, and each broth was rich and flavorful. We did add extra chili oil for a spicier kick, though that’s likely just our personal preference. The restaurant had a calm, inviting atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The only downside was that my Tonkotsu had a bit less pork belly than expected. Still, it was a great experience overall. Definitely planning to come back.

Must visit! Best ramen place by far. Soyu chicken broth has more chicken flavor than the creamer Classic chicken broth. Bowls were huge and more than I could eat. So much meat! 3 pieces of chicken breast, a whole chicken thigh and drumstick grilled to perfection! Prices range from 17 to 21, however, Easily good value for money too.

this is not a sushi restaurant. The sushi restaurant that used to be here was awesome.

This restaurant is absolutely worthless. The people running it were super rude and awful and every single dish that I ordered tasted like garbage. Do not go here.

I've tried a few bowls between the Hawthorne location and Woodstock, and as much as I want to like it I have a few issues and there are better ramen spots I would choose to scratch the itch. The portions (for ramen at least) are massive. Ramen doesn't make for good leftovers, so unless you can crush two bowls at other places you're gonna be wasting a chunk. The broth flavors are good but really salty, to the point where I wouldn't be able to finish a normal sized portion. Quail eggs are a novel experience but they get pretty hard from the curing and if you want a nice jammy yolk you're out of luck as they're so small you can't appreciate it. The pork belly and the chicken are thick and tough, which some prefer but is not my preference. I like the rayu, it could be a little spicier but it's a good flavor. I'm not a fan of shredded menma, it's a bit tough and doesn't add much. I understand making your own noodles is a significant investment but if you're going with Sun etc they should not be stuck together in clumps. I'm bummed cuz I like the vibe and the locations are great, but I'll be visiting other ramen shops in the area to satisfy my cravings.

Excellent! 10 bazillion stars! I had the Kara Aga Don bowl. It was perfectly prepared and the portion size was big enough to feed two people. I can't recommend this place enough.
