Medium good! I got a chai and a bagel with cream cheese. Kinda stingy on the cream cheese. Would be cute spot to study.

Service: everyone here is lovely - 5 stars Ambiance: easy to sit and enjoy the music and a conversation - 5 stars Food: huge disappointment - 0 stars. I used to LOVE Shoofly and always looked forward to coming here when I lived out of town. However, something has changed. Today I had a piece of cherry pie. The filling was good, but the bottom crust and the crust in between the weave on top was raw. I gave the pie back and asked for a cinnamon roll instead. Bite by bite, the dough had either no flavor at all or an overpowering taste of yeast, but didn't have any cinnamon flavor. It was doughy and heavy. The icing on top had no particular flavor just sweet. I didn't finish it. The last time I was here I ordered the biscuits and gravy, but the gravy was so salty that my mouth burned after a few bites. There are few bakeries in Portland that offer such a wide variety of vegan options (or any at all) that I'm really hoping that Shoofly's quality improves again soon.

Spacious cafe with delicious foods including some pretty unique sweets! Really liked the Philly cake with the limited time raspberry filling. Great service. A good amount of seating. Some folks were working here on their computers, so this seems like a good study/work cafe. An easy 5/5.

Was walking around and stumbled on Shoofly. The hand pies seemed pretty popular, but I landed on the potato soup and coffee. Both were phenomenal!

I love all their vegan baked goods so I decided to put in a custom cake order for my birthday. I was blown away! They did an amazing job decorating and the cake tasted INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend!

2 weeks ago I ordered a cake for my dad's birthday party. Despite confirming my order for a cake well in advance and inquiring about potential weather-related issues, I was met with a closure due to weather on the scheduled pickup day. I understand weather can be unpredictable, but the lack of communication and apology from the bakery was disheartening. The day before pick-up I expressed my concern about the weather, and was assured that the cake would still be ready for pickup. On the actual day, I received a last-minute closure notification without any acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience caused. Despite my attempts to contact them after the closure, I never received any response. I am frustrated that I didn't receive an apology or even an acknowledgement of the inconvenience. I couldn't feel less cared for as their customer.

Portland is so lucky to have Shoofly! Their pastries around town at coffee shops and their own shop are such a treat. We’ve ordered birthday cakes and holiday goodies from them and everything is fantastic. Their quiche and danishes are *chefs kiss!*

Seriously love the savory and sweet options. The breakfast Sammie is to die for, so are the cake slices and oatmeal cream pie

I wholeheartedly enjoy shoe fly, and its model generally – and have since they opened. The oatmeal cream pie is my absolute fave guilty pleasure. That being said, are these folks paid enough/treated well as employees? I'm only asking because I can't imagine another reason for an employee to be simply mean to customers as they were to my partner and I - on more than one occasion. I rarely leave a bad review about the service industry on account of the difficulties folks have serving the general public, (We all know by now that we are not nice to our service industry, workers, right?) but I'm truly concerned about the treatment we've received recently. Let's figure out what's going on and support the staff!

I ordered a special lambeth cake and sent a photo of what I’d like. I did not received anything close to the picture. They charged me $80+ for a cake that was poorly decorated. I also had to wait 10 minutes to be noticed by the workers and to be helped. On top of that, they tried to have me pay for my cake twice because they can’t keep track of their online payments. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

I love this place. A lot of options, I had a blueberry compote cake that was amazing. I also like the staff, I hope they are paid really well
