I ordered food here and ate it on the roof. The chicken tenders were terrific and so were the fries. The 🍕 wasn't bad either.
To the person working behind the bar at show bar yesterday afternoon(5/26) - mind your damn business when a customer is ordering a beverage, you aren’t there to give me your opinion on what whiskey works best for a mixed drink or cocktail, I never asked you for a recommendation… your attempt to upsell me fell flat and you attitude just about had me walking out the door… curb your pretentious bartender opinions and make your money… I will not be back and will hold my recommendations for this establishment
Best string fries in Portland right now 2/2/2025... What a GREAT SURPRISE, crackle and flavor of the potato.. BRAVO. 👏 (unsure if processed)
They have a fun happy hour cheeseburger.. drink specials..
Nice scenery but it’ll cost you - a lot . And by a lot, I mean a fl’ton.
The most discriminatory venue in all of Portland! Shoutout to Luke at the door
Wow!! Such a fun place with great food, kind staff and tons of atmosphere!
First time here, and we had such a great time! Nice menu, large dining areas and options. Indoor or roof top!
This is the best burger in town. I'm prepared to fight you on this point.
Also, the only place that I know of that has t-ravs, which are crucial to my existence as a human from St. Louis. This place is cozy and unpretentious and an absolute GEM that should be treasured. Staff is so kind and cool.
Wish there was an option for zero stars.
It’s wild for being here for the first time, the bartenders have no idea what they’re talking about.
Let alone they limit drinks? What kind of bs bar is this?
The food is bland! I ordered a Chicken sandwich that came with no fries that costed $14 bucks. Talk about highway robbery, not to mention the hospitality is horrible.
I’m surprised this place even has 4 stars.
Update your menu. Replace your bartenders.
I’ll never spend money here again.
Very cool small music venue inside with a bar in the other room. Sounds great. Such a cool spot to see indie bands inside a historic building.
Love the atmosphere here. However, they have very few food options and it’s pretty average.

Loved this venue. Yes, show bar is very small but I personally like small shows and there's also plenty of open space if you need a break from the small room. You can go out to the bar, you can go out to the patio, you can go upstairs to the rooftop bar. Additionally, every single staff member was so incredibly sweet and just downright lovely to interact with. Will definitely return for drinks on the rooftop and other shows whether they be at the smaller show bar or the larger revolution hall.
Check out my review of Revolution Hall which is technically of Show Bar.
Bottom line is that the staff is helpful the food is tasty and it's got a nice lively atmosphere
Been three times, never improves. Overpriced cocktails, uninspired food. Also, closed at 10:00pm on a visit when door says 11:00pm. Figure it out.
I hate to be a whiny b, but man this is just really an awful place to catch a show. It's such a shame too because Revolution Hall is easily in contention for best venue in Portland. And then the poor, forgotten Show Bar is in contention for the worst.
It's a space that feels somewhere between a hotel convention room and a hallway.
There's no flow, there's no soul. It's literally just a long rectangle that somewhat resembles one lane at a bowling alley.
All the sound is at the front so if you are anywhere past the first 10 rows of people all you get is this buffeted, muffled spillover of unloved sound.
Inexplicably, they also leave the overhead lights on for 2/3 of the length of this essential hallway. So there's no warmth, no vibe, no quality of ambience or structure of having created an event. It's clearly just a room that they said hey, we can pack 300 people in here.
And that's all it is! A sardine can with a couple gel lights and a lo-fi sound system.
Wow! Alex Cuba performed from other planet! He’s other thing, grammy awarded but, the way he’s nicely and funny involving, making fans part of the show… Man, that’s something unique from this guy, we were a select group of people, my oldest son his cutie wife, couple of close dear friends from Mexico and Chile, super sweet warm friendly atmosphere, service, patio, etc, etc.
remarkable night.
