Great little place in the heart of LAIR HILL, off Corbett. Great date place! Spectacular presentation and unique dishes. Owner is very nice.

Four of us had dinner and were blown away. We were happy with the small cozy room; but the real highlight was the food. We shared three appetizers and three mains and everything was delicious. Next time we will cover off the rest of the menu! Very good value too.

Zomg, soooo good. Delicious cocktails, great food. The chef takes care and invests his time and pride in the outcomes. Traditional Thai flavors applied to unique dishes. Grab a side of rice, the sauces are too good to waste.
Truly sensational food!! The chef can do no wrong!! We loved every bite and sip! Highly recommend! There were four of us - the apps and salads were actually shareable but you’ll likely want your own… it’s that good!! The care and attention from the staff and chef were next level. Lovely, intimate (quaint and not stuffy) ambiance as well. Thanks Siam Umami!

4.5. Not too bad. If it’s next door I will come again for daily lunch or dinner.
We ordered the chor pork, long song, and red wine duck. Everything was interesting and delicious!

If you’re looking to for unique, high quality Thai food - try this place.
We were expecting a classic American Thai spot where we could order pad Thai etc - this place is not that- but we got so excited by the menu and ordered a handful of things.
I would 100% recommend the Yum Som salad, Khao Mok Gai (chicken entree), Spicy Red Wine Tamarind Duck, and Taro Crème Brûlée (dairy and gluten free and amazing!).
Looking forward to our next visit 😊

Second time to Siam Umami and it one of my favorite restaurants in Portland. Food is not the typical Thai dishes we see in most Thai restaurants. Don’t go here if you are looking for pad Thai, stir fries and other noodle dishes. Instead, this is a creative application of Thai influences on some traditionally non-Thai recipes. This time, I had a beef Wellington in a red curry sauce. It was excellent and very reasonably priced given the quality of the ingredients.
Regrettably, the signage on the restaurant is very subtle. I’m sure people drive by it every day as I have for years without noticing the restaurant. So glad, we stumbled onto it.
Good food, good people. Highly recommend.

Food is fantastic with bold explosions of flavor but also well balanced. Service was attentive. Decor was a little sloppy giving it a casual vibe befitting its price point. The menu had basically none of the classic Thai-American dishes one immediately thinks of, so everything seemed unique. One of the most memorable Thai meals I've had in my life (I'm 51), highly recommended. Can't wait to go back!

The food was absolutely delicious!!! Hand made dumplings and the taste was a flavor bomb! Definitely a hole-in-the wall place that is lowkey and seems like it’s underrated! Props to the chef as the food was perfect.
