I've been coming to this restaurant for the past 2-3 years. The food is amazing, i love it, my family loves it. Theres tons of options from the menu. My go-to would be a meal combo included with a meat tray to cook. it's on the expensive side tho. Seafood pancake is a must. Overall, super delicious, filling, with lots of variety, and lots of sides. They used to not charge you on refills for salads and sides, kinda sad about that now. It also depends on who's serving you, because some may be more generous than others. It gets incredibly crowded around dinner time. If you're in there for a long time, the smell can stick onto your clothing, and you'll end up smelling like meat after. It's no biggie. Just come prepared wearing a hat or whatever you're comfortable with. This restaurant is for anyone, including vegetarians. Solid choice for korean bbq 👍.

Pretty good. I went there with our friends which one of them are korean. It's pricy for what it is. However, I'm cheap and don't like paying $20 for a plate.

Rude, racist maybe? (Chinese, Taiwanese, or HK?) workers. I agree that they need to relocate and hire new staff asap. Food tastes bad, if they serve soup served in smaller container when they are supposed to use big containers, isn't that basically theft? These employees are risking criminal charges if they are doing that.

Everything good
I live in the state of California. i had a short vacation in portland and i had a great experience at so kong dong tofu & bbq restaurant. The food here is very delicious, the price is not too expensive. What impressed me most at this restaurant was the attitude of the female waitress who was very professional, considerate and polite. That girl has dimples, when she smiles she looks so cute, unfortunately I don't know her name.
nonetheless, this restaurant is a place worth returning to and deserves a 5 star rating. I will definitely recommend to all my relatives and friends

I am a diner from Texas who had the opportunity to visit relatives in Portland and was invited by them to this restaurant for a meal. What impressed me most, besides the delicious food, is the way the Vietnamese waitress is very cute, considerate, and takes care of the guests very well. This is a plus point for the restaurant. And this will make me remember forever when I have a wonderful day of experience here. I will come back and introduce more of my friends to dine here. I think in addition to delicious food, the restaurant should maintain and promote such good service. That is the factor that keeps diners. I feel very happy and satisfied to come here from far away and receive such attentive service. I want the next time I come back here to see happy and considerate smiles like the Vietnamese waitress in the good restaurant.

Ordered a pork soon tofu stew from here for dinner. It was quite late so there were very few customers. However, the staff were not very friendly. It was a big contrast to all the super friendly customer service we've recieved the whole time we were in Portland. The stew was good, not spicy enough. The pork was a little too tough. The rice was too mushy, and not what I expected from rice that was cooked in a stone bowl.

Good side dishes. Great for bbq. Wouldn't recommend the ribs. Spendy for how much meat you get on em.

There are better spots towards Beaverton / Hillsboro but a good choice if you want something in Portland. The banchan wasn't great. Stone pot bibimbap was good but missing some flavor. Most menu items were quite pricey as well.

Beautiful restaurant with friendly, helpful staff. Menu is authentic Korean and doesn’t disappoint. The nangmeon soup was fantastic on this hot day. Shop in and enjoy and explore great cuisine.

Absolutely amazing well worth the amazing Korean grill experience!
I’m Korean American and have ate at many Korean restaurants over the years, and this is hands down the worst. We had the $70 BBQ set and the meat was actually the lowest quality I’ve had in my life. It was tasteless, chewy, and hard to get down. I’m not sure where they got their meat because the cheapest meats you can find after an Hmart or other Asian supermarket is better than the ones we were served. In addition to the low quality ingredients, the dishes (반찬, 순두부) didn’t taste traditional - so much so that my Korean parents suspected that the owners and cooks aren’t Korean (maybe Chinese?). Service was slow as well since we came on a busy Sunday. I could tell that the two waitresses there were working really hard, but they just couldn’t keep up with the volume of people coming in. There were people waiting at the door for extended periods and lots of dirty tables needing to be bussed. We are all really, really upset at wasting $100 at this mess of a restaurant.

Every morsel served is perfect. The hot stone pot of bibimbap comes to the table sizzling, crisping up the rice to an addictively chewy texture.

Usually I shop inside Fubon for specific items e.g., a beverage called (mogu mogu) mango flavored. I recommend the mango is the best btw and you can find this drink in the beverage isle either in the small kid size or the larger size, liter.
Parking: The fruit may not look as pretty as other grocery stores, but for produce and meat is cheaper all around. Go here for one of my favorite drinks (mogu mogu) mango flavor, coconut water, and or guava juice. Ever had an Asian donut or Asian artisan pastries? Asian donuts are super light and airy dessert or snack. The bread is sweet like Hawaiian bread similar to a croissant and are filled up with whipped cream filling, the second one is like a custard cream cheese on the sweet bread.
